Get help from free food pantries across Volusia County Florida that provide services to the needy, including free groceries, hot meals from soup kitchens and hygiene supplies. There are programs customized for senior citizens and others with special needs as well, including Meals on Wheels. Among the resources offered at a pantry near you include free food, meals, groceries, Thanksgiving or Christmas help and other programs. Most of the food banks below will provide help today to anyone who needs it, regardless of their income, religion, and background.

A large number of the food banks in Daytona Beach and across Volusia County can help with other needs as well. For example, some of the centers offer limited assistance with clothing vouchers and bus tokens, holiday meals (Thanksgiving and Christmas), and personal toiletry products. Or clients can learn about state of Florida and federal government benefits.

The primary objective of the food banks is to respond to the emergency needs of hungry, low-income people, and homeless. They meet this goal through free food distribution. this pass out hot meals, diapers, baby food/formula, limited amounts of emergency Florida food benefits, and even offering cold weather shelter. They also provide case management, referrals, and help in applying for public assistance such as food stamps.

Halifax Urban Ministries
All of the non-profit Halifax Ministry organizations (there are more listed below) offer a number of assistance programs to people across Volusia County Florida. Services include free food, meals, groceries, and perishable items. Other services include emergency shelter, very limited amount of assistance to pay for basic needs such as electric, rent, and medications (only if funding is available), and referrals.

Salvation Army of Volusia County
Multiple locations help low income families, the elderly and others. Free food banks and soup kitchens give meals or groceries. There is financial aid, fresh fruit, and personal toiletries as well. Thanksgiving turkey dinners may also be offered as well as Christmas holiday baskets.
