Food banks and pantries in Volusia County.

Food pantries across Volusia County Florida provide services to the needy. There are programs customized for senior citizens and others with special needs as well. Among the resources offered include free food, meals, groceries, and other programs. Most of the food banks below will provide help to anyone who needs it, regardless of their income, religion, and background.

A large number of the food banks in Daytona Beach and across Volusia County can help with other needs as well. For example, some of the centers offer limited assistance with clothing vouchers and bus tokens, holiday meals (Thanksgiving and Christmas), and personal products. Or clients can learn about state of Florida and federal government benefits.

The primary objective of the food banks is to respond to the emergency needs of hungry, low-income people, and homeless. They meet this goal through free food distribution, hot meals, diapers, baby food/formula, limited amounts of emergency financial assistance, and even offering cold weather shelter. They also provide case management, referrals, and help in applying for public assistance such as food stamps.
