Free food pantries Strafford County and Rochester New Hampshire.

The free food pantries in Strafford County are based at churches, non-profit community action agencies, as well as local charities. The centers near you, listed below, focus on providing groceries, personal hygiene supplies, paper products as well as food items to anyone in need. It is recommended to call a pantry today in advance to go over the application process as well as to determine hours. Find details below as well as a referral number at the bottom of the page for more food programs.

Many pantries in the Rochester NH area also have soup kuchens for hot meals. Assistance is offered for residents of the town or community of where the food bank is located, including seniors and disabled who can get Meals on Wheels. So the centers do not provide help to all of Strafford County; instead their services are regionalized. It can be hundreds of families that get assistance from a pantry near them.

There may be free food, emergency groceries and personal care items for families in need, holiday meals (such as Thanksgiving or Christmas), information on public aid such as SNAP food stamps, and some charities even offer financial help.  The assistance available from each distribution center varies.
