Strafford County free food pantries.

The food pantries in Strafford County are based at churches, non-profit community action agencies, as well as local charities. The centers focus on providing groceries as well as food items to anyone in need. It is recommended to call a pantry in advance to go over the application process as well as to determine hours.

Assistance is offered for residents of the town or community of where the food bank is located. So the centers do not provide help to all of Strafford County; instead their services are regionalized. It can be hundreds of families that get assistance from a pantry near them.

There may be free food and personal care items for families in need, holiday meals (such as Thanksgiving or Christmas), information on public aid such as SNAP food stamps, and some charities even offer financial help. The assistance available from each distribution center varies.
