Posey and Gibson County food pantries.

Food pantries provide many services to families in Gibson as well as Posey County. Most people think they can only get a free boxes of groceries, but most of the locations offer other support as well. No two centers are exactly the same, but everything from holiday meals to hygiene supplies or SNAP food stamp applications may be provided.

The pantry clients come from a diverse background. The staff that work there will not judge, and the assistance is provided in a confidential manner. Whether someone is living in poverty, disabled, or elderly, free food may be combined with other social services from these pantries. Anyone that is struggling should check into the hours and the programs administered.
