Free Christmas assistance New Hanover and Brunswick County free

During the holiday season, including Christmas and Thanksgiving, the generosity of the greater Wilmington region increases. Children can be given free toys, a low income family an entire meal, and the elderly or disabled can have food delivered to them. Other assistance, as noted below, may also be provided at Christmas.

Two of the major programs in the New Hanover County area include Angel Tree as well as Toys for Tots. But there are also other charities that provide help too. Most of the items (such as toys, gifts, and food baskets) are passed out for free, but other locations sell the goods at a low price.

The primary agencies to apply at for assistance in New Hanover as well as Brunswick County are below. Low income families with children need to apply early, before the goods run out.
