Free food pantries and groceries Monroe County Pennsylvania.

In an emergency, or for long term support, free food banks in Monroe County Pennsylvania as well as soup kitchens near you assist residents. The charities and churches that operate these services work to help address hunger as well as the lack of basic needs in the community. Call a distribution center for hours of operation as well as to learn how to apply. Also find another phone number at the bottom of the page to call for other free grocery or meal services, including Meals on Wheels.

The locations across Stroudsburg as well as the county of Monroe have volunteers that work at them. There are also some full time case managers. Between the two, they not only run the food pantries but also collect donations, serve meals, and keep the cupboards full. There are sites in Bushkill, Canadensis, Cresco, Bartonsville, East Stroudsburg, Effort, Kunkletown, Tobyhanna, Mt. Pocono, Saylorsburg, Stroudsburg, Swift-water, and other towns.

Qualified families can get help with everything from a box of groceries to applications for SNAP food stamps, diapers, infant formula, financial aid and more. Other material items and seasonal services from the pantries as well as local churches range from winter clothes to Christmas toys or holiday meals.
