Needy families can turn to Salvation Army centers for help, whether it is for rent, free food, Christmas toys, or really anything. The locations provide resources to the low income and struggling in Monmouth County and other towns in New Jersey. Most of the assistance is provided as a last resort and is meant to address short term needs. Other support, including case management, can address long term issues such as unemployment or lack of education.

Some of the basic needs provided can include clothing. For example, all Salvation Army Corps Community Centers in Monmouth and across New Jersey provide new or gently used clothing items to needy families. This can be particularly helpful around back to school time, when students need backbacks or coats.
