Food Pantries and Soup Kitchens in Midland County, TX

Midland County has a network of food pantries, soup kitchens, and community meal programs where residents can get free groceries or a hot meal. Every program listed on this page is free. The West Texas Food Bank — the regional Feeding America member — supplies partner pantries across 19 West Texas counties and runs its own drive-thru pantry events open to anyone in the county.

Locally, the Salvation Army serves the highest volume of meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week. Breaking Bread Kitchen provides nightly dinners at its soup kitchen and runs a morning street outreach program. The Jubilee Center of Midland operates a client-choice pantry where visitors pick their own items, and the Disciples Food Pantry at First Christian Church distributes groceries generally every Wednesday with no ID required.

Most pantries ask for some form of ID or proof of address, but requirements vary — call ahead to confirm what to bring. To apply for Texas SNAP food stamps, visit https://yourtexasbenefits.com or ask for help at any of the offices listed at the bottom of this page.
