Free food pantries in Midland County.

There are a number of resources provided by the Midland Texas area free food pantries as well as soup kitchens. When it comes to passing out a box of groceries, this will often be done regardless of the applicant's income. However, it will depend on donations. Other programs from the food banks, such as free holiday meals or items such as clothing, are more limited and those resources may come with conditions.

The pantries, which can be located at churches or charities across the county, are open limited hours. While they help hundreds of families per month, the resources are limited. Some of what may be offered includes a box of food, Christmas or Thanksgiving meal, personal hygiene supplies, or referrals to state of Texas benefits such as SNAP food stamps.

A few of the locations will offer other types of support, including financial aid to qualified Midland County families. Or a church may offer both shelter and a hot meal to some clients.
