Middlesex County MA transitional housing and homeless shelters.

When faced with eviction or if you are currently homeless, Middlesex County families can access a number of transitional and low income housing programs. Shelters are also located across the county, including in Cambridge, and they can provide people a place to stay for a short period of time.

The housing programs offer individuals a number of other services as well. While they will vary by location, many of the non-profits provide meals, case management type services, help with achieving self-sufficiency, and jobs. This is done in an effort to prevent future homelessness.

Many people may struggle to pay for the expensive housing and apartments in Middlesex County Massachusetts. So the agencies can also help residents explore a number of rent and financial assistance programs that may assist with deposits or even moving costs. Other options include government subsidized homes as well as the section 8 voucher program. The goal is to help someone find a place to live that they can afford over the long term.
