Find help from a wide variety of affordable as well as free Maine dental clinics. Several different locations operate in the state, with the primary focus on helping the low income and individuals with no or limited medical or health insurance. There may be dental assistance, such as preventative care or oral surgery, for adults, the elderly, disabled and uninsured in the state. Some of the free clinics in Maine listed below that may be near you are funded by the federal government as qualified health centers. Others have dental services offered by volunteers. Call a dental center near you to get the specifics on the types of assistance that you may qualify for in Maine. There may be wisdom teeth removal, cleanings, X-Rays, extractions, root canals, dentures and more. Some programs may be offered for free, and others at a reduced price or low cost, or the so called sliding fee scale.
