Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County free food pantries
Emergency food programs are available at several non-profit pantries and feeding centers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County. The locations will normally assist only residents of the county in which they operate, but some of the centers may offer referrals to other food banks or public aid programs that are more convenient to the family.
The distributions of food will normally occur weekly. If someone is qualified, then they may also be able to receive other support from a pantry. This may be goods such as clothing or special holiday meals, such as at Christmas. Many of the non-profits in Mahoning County, including the charities, will offer snacks and meals to children during their summer breaks.
So the goal of each one of these food banks is to both prevent hunger and link the client to some sort of long term support. Whether that is SNAP food bank applications or other USDA programs, aid is available.
