Free Christmas and holiday assistance Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana County.

Several agencies and holiday assistance programs, including Toys for Tots, provide free Christmas gifts, food, presents, and meals to low income families. There are charities as well as churches located in counties including Trumbull, Mahoning as well as Columbiana.

Not only is help provided to the less fortunate at Christmas, but many of the agencies also provide Easter or Thanksgiving assistance. This often comes in the form of food, groceries, or free turkey dinners. As far as Christmas help in the region, including Mahoning County, that may be as follows.

  • -USMC sponsored Toys for Tots, which gives free presents, gifts, toys, games, clothes and more to children under the age of 13.
  • -Angel Tree, a Salvation Army affiliated program.
  • -Charities across Trumbull and nearby counties operate an Adopt a Family Christmas assistance program, in which the entire home is given free presents, food, gifts, and more.
  • -Free Christmas help is offered for low income seniors, the disabled, and single parents in the region.

Other holiday programs are also available. They start in Thanksgiving and run through the Christmas season, and thousands of local kids and struggling families get help. Free toys, games, meal baskets and much more allows the community to spread holiday joy.
