Lafayette Parish food pantries.

Hundreds of Lafayette Parish families turn to a food pantry each month. If they did not obtain assistance from one of the programs offered, many more families would be faced with hunger. The food banks try to help anyone in need. They may offer support or referrals to other local resources as well.

While not as common, some of the locations will provide other support to the public. Those may include clothing, holiday meals, or school supplies. However that will always be lower priority. The number one goal is to provide emergency food to struggling residents across Lafayette Parish.

If someone from the region is looking for long term support, then some of the non-profit will help the person with applications to SNAP food stamps. Or vouchers from WIC can help single moms or low income parents by offering baby formula and educational support.
