Rural Law Center of New York, Inc - Housing Services
Free legal aid addresses landlord/tenant issues. Lawyers work on homeless prevention and offer assistance. Only one all other options have been explored (charities, government, non-profits) may the Catholic Charity church help. The crisis programs gives money for paying rent. Or they offer free furniture, deposit assistance, cash loans, and other housing/rent/mortgage programs.

SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) assists low income Veterans, those returning from oversees and their families. It is also run by Catholic Charities.
