Financial support from Ease Foundation.

In an effort to help the vulnerable, Ease Foundation can provide either direct aid or refer families to financial support. The charity has a number of staff members that will understand the client’s needs and take appropriate action. So whether it is a lack of food or if someone is behind on their rent, the goal is to find some type of solution to that hardship.

Ease Foundation is involved in collecting donations to keep their services running. Anyone that can contribute, or volunteer, is encouraged to do so. The assistance will make a difference in the lives of someone that is struggling.

The volunteer supported soup kitchens will help feed the hungry in Davie Florida. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. The agency can accommodate hundreds of people per month, as donation levels allow.

Anyone in need of a meal can make use of this service, which is provided on a walk-in basis. There are not any questions asked and no income restrictions are in place. Meals are offered to clients of Ease Foundation affiliated emergency shelters as well.

Children and students in Broward County can get help as well. The agency operates an after-school meal program. It was created in an effort to serve children from impoverished families so they have something when school is not in session. It can also feed clients who live in local public housing units.

Meals are delivered at most five days a week to the homes of indigent, elderly and disabled clients. Volunteers from the Ease Foundation also delivers hot food to individuals with physical limitations, such as veterans. The free Meals on Wheels service will also operate during the holidays and ensure a senior citizen has some type of holiday joy. The service serves a number of clients.

Ease Foundation volunteers distribute food bags at its pantry. These comprise nonperishable grocery items, canned items and beverages. Most of the goods are collected through community drives to help clients who have no other source of sustenance.

Men and women who need a safe place to sleep, shower and store their personal belongings can turn to the agency’s emergency shelters in Broward County. These are intended to be a short-term resource, as most clients stay for only a matter of days after undergoing an intake process. At the site the client can learn about financial aid programs available in the state of Florida.

When weather conditions in Broward County precipitate a greater demand for emergency shelter, Ease Foundation temporarily repurposes its resource center and other available rooms to serve more individuals. So during those rare cold or slightly more common hot stretches, more people can stop in to use the facilities.

Basic needs and personal hygiene can be met too. Showers, bathrooms, cleaning products, laundry facilities, and the use of telephones are available at the main center. These basic living amenities are offered to low-income persons or homeless people in Broward County.

Ease Foundation administers a transitional housing program to help indigent families live with a greater sense of stability as they work towards self-sufficiency. Clients of this resource are expected to find employment and save their income. After that is done, they will get help in secure some form of permanent housing. This will include applications to security deposit or first month’s rent programs.

Case management services help people become stable and reintegrate themselves into the workforce. Individuals that enroll will be assessed to determine which medical, mental health, job training services, employment and life skills programs best fit their needs. This will lead to the family being independent over time.

There is also educational services designed for children of all ages. Components of it include tutoring, arts and crafts classes, and tours and demonstrations at exhibits across Broward County. Students are also served breakfast and lunch.

After-school tutoring is offered to children who are residing in transitional housing as well. A certified teacher that has been screened by Ease Foundation conducts the program at the Broward County resource center. Students have access to a small library, computers and a quiet environment.
