Vermilion County and Danville rent assistance programs.

Low income and struggling tenants in Vermilion County can get emergency help for paying housing expenses, including back rent, moving costs (security deposits or storage) and more. The goal of the charities, non-profits, and government back organizations that offer rental assistance or funds to pay utilities, housing, etc. have a goal of stopping homelessness.

Priority is often given to vulnerable families in the Danville Illinois region. This includes, but is not limited to, the elderly, single mothers or fathers, the disabled, and sick. The rent assistance, or even free legal aid, is used to help them offset their income. Other forms of housing assistance may also include, but is not limited to, free landlord – tenant mediation, short term loans, homeless shelters, and even energy bill help.

Find the main locations to apply at for help below. Note funds are limited, so there is often a waiting list for any one time rent help.
