Get help at Christmas and the holidays in Contra Costa County.
There are dozens of sites to apply at for Christmas gifts in the greater Contra Costa County area. Many of the charities that provide holiday help do so as part of Toys for Tots, which is the US Marine Corps sponsored program. However each agency will try to provide free toys, clothing, holiday meals or food boxes and other services to the less fortunate.
In order to receive a gift for a child, income and other conditions need to be met, such as proof of residency in Contra Costa County. There are also qualifications for meals to be delivered, such as the senior citizen or disabled person must be homebound. Other agencies and programs, such as Adopt a Family, also have eligibility criteria in place in order to get assistance during Christmas.
