Free clothes in Columbia and Richland County.

Richland County families can turn to free clothing closets for assistance. Based on inventory (which will be donated) there will be supplies ranging from general use clothes to school supplies, uniforms for work, baby items, furniture and more. The volunteer run clothing closets help the low income, underemployment, and working poor in the Columbia area.

The main agencies to call and apply at are below. Clients include:

-Single moms or dads seeking free or affordable clothes for their kids.
-Students who need school supplies, shoes, or backpacks.
-Senior citizens in Columbia who live on a fixed income.
-The disabled and others…any low income family can get help.

If clothes are not available then vouchers or referrals may be given. In general, there will be some form of giveaway from a local charity in Richland County that can provide free items, clothing, birth toys or school supplies, and other goods to needy families. There may also be free seasonal programs for Christmas gifts or Easter baskets.
