Clarke County food pantries.

Food pantries can provide help to families that are facing an emergency. Charities across Clarke County Georgia offer everything from free bags of groceries to holiday meals and other food assistance programs. The centers help people of all ages and backgrounds, including families with children, seniors, and disabled.

Not only can a pantry offer free food and non-perishable goods to qualified applicants, but they may also distribute financial aid as well or administer other services. Some of the locations in the Athens area may offer free meals to the homeless or provide Christmas food baskets and goods. Or applicants can include into shelter, money for bills or food stamp applications. So the resources for tacking hunger are wide ranging.
