A network of food pantries operate in the Oklahoma counties of Canadian, Grandy, and Caddo. Low income families facing a hardship can get help from the locations. They are also focused on helping senior citizens as well as the unemployed and disabled in the region.
Most of the pantries are run by non-profits. However some of them, such as in Canadian County, operate from charities such as local churches. Income conditions will normally need to bet met. However clients may receive everything from a hot meal to food for their children. If a location can't assist, then the case management process at a food bank may still be able to direct applicants to other local resources such as soup kitchens.

For more information, dial 405-972-1111. Struggling families can be referred to other pantries. Residents of Canadian, Caddo and Grandy that are very low income can apply for programs such as WIC vouchers or SNAP food stamps, among others.
