Community clinics in Boise and Ada County Idaho.

Ada County residents can receive medical or dental care from community clinics and health centers in the region. Services, pricing, and types of health care offered will vary by location. However almost all of the clinics do what they can to help the neediest in the community and the health centers may offer sliding fee billing scales or even free care from time to time.

Some of the community clinics are federal government qualified, meaning that they will try not to turn anyone away, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status. Some clinics accept private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Staff, including doctors, nurses, and medical professional (some of whom volunteer) are located at the health centers. They can provide services such as immunizations, primary family health care, testing & screening, immunizations, counseling and education, physicals, basic procedures, and treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries. When someone has a more complicated need, the community clinic will often refer the patient to a nearby hospital or specialist in Idaho.
