Michigan Department of Human Services, Washtenaw Branch - Can provide emergency rent assistance from the income supplement programs for individuals or families. The program is targeted at seniors, and low income and residents who are temporarily or permanently disabled who lack money for housing. Friends in Deed - A faith based charity organization which provides for basic needs, including rent, that are not being met by other local non-profit agencies. The organization can offer screening, information, and referral services to local congregations including loans. There are also federal government and state of Michigan rent and housing programs. Salvation Army - Often provides emergency funds, including eviction prevention and emergency rent help for urgent needs. Shelter and case management is arranged.
