Re: Unemployment not enough for bills
Hi, my name is Susan, I am recently homeless for the first time as I am unemployed and cannot pay my rent. A friend told me to reach out and see if I could get a one-time emergency hotel voucher and a meal. My friend helped me to stay last night here at Extended Stay in Campbell County where I am from. I half to check out at 11am this morning and don't have anywhere else to go, if you could get back to me this morning, I would really appreciate it. I need place to stay with a real address so I can apply for a job as unemployment not cutting it. Thank you for your time, Susan.

Hi Wanda,
You mentioned rent, but also mentioned you have no job or money. So try the general list of Wayne County assistance programs for all your needs https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ogra2.html

Hi,
Where is here? Almost all programs are local or state specific. Even more so when dealing with unemployment. So you left SC and went where? Until then, try this for financial help in your state, as that is a directory of state and even some national resources.

Hi all,
Anyone seeking emergency cash or other benefits, after their unemployment ran out or before it starts, has options. There are other programs that provide cash for the unemployed, often in short order. Look here for emergency cash. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... _cash.html

Re: unemployment not enough
Good morning,
My husband has been unemployed for the last couple of weeks, and was on unemployment since February. The amount of money from unemployment is not enough for us. We are still waiting on the unemployment benefits from the state. He has been out of a steady paycheck for the last couple of months. Because of this, we have been scraping by, and are now about a month behind on our bills. We have 2 small kids. My husband has been working odd jobs here and there and has accepted a new job. But we are unsure of the start date and when his next paycheck will actually come in. We are need of a little jump start, to just get through the next couple of weeks, be able to pay a few things down so when he does get his first paycheck, we can keep moving forward and not be digging out of such a DEEP hole.
Is there any help you give? any where you can direct us to? We have tried applying for State help, but I unfortunately "make" too much (though compared to my bills, it is not enough solo).

Re: Unemployment assistance
Hello Need Help Paying Bills Staff,
Currently, I am unemployed. I have been unemployed for several months.
I am writing to get help with the following:
Aid to pay my car registration renewal fees in Texas.
Working from home. (I am interested in the Answering Service opportunity.)
I need to renew my car registration so that, once I find a job, I can lawfully use my car to go to work (on a permanent job). I need to renew so that I don’t get tickets for driving with an expired vehicle registration sticker.
I am very interested in Answering Service positions. Please provide me with the information to sign up for this type of job. Also, are there any work-from-home companies (nationwide) offering jobs in Texas? What about these types of companies located in Texas?
Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Unemployment not enough for bills
To whom it may concern: I am in desperate need of some help as we are living off of unemployment. Me and my family have just moved up here from SC, and we are currently living in a very small camper on some family members property. It is me, my husband, our nephew, our two small children ages 9 and 7 along with my therapy dog because I am bipolar.
We came up here to try and start a new life on unemployment but could only carry some small possessions and a few clothes. We had planned to be able to go back to SC to get the rest of our things, but we had car trouble. We traded the car for a bigger vehicle just to get around but it needs some small fixing and we don't have the money right now. We also just found out that some family members back in SC that we had a disagreement with burned everything we left behind including my children's clothes and toys.
We have had nothing but seemingly very bad luck at each turn since we have arrived, and we are on a very low-income as I draw 722 dollars a month. There is five of us plus the dog and it is very hard to make ends meet. Can you help us with finding a place to live, or helping with our car, and most especially with Christmas. My kids will not be able to have one if we cannot get help. I don't know what to do. Can you please help?

Re: Unemployment not enough for bills
Yes, that is several things. Well try one of the charities or state programs in Arkansas, as there are several options for you. Each of them have their own requirements as well as application processes in place. Note the hardest thing for you to get (which you mention) may be the gas vouchers.

Re: Unemployment assistance
I have been out of work for over a year and my unemployment has run out. Although were behind in our obligations when we received UI we were able to pay them eventually. Now w/out UI, we cannot pay our utilities & other bills.
We need short term help to get caught up on rent and electric. We have received a turn off notice. Car is about to be taken by the creditor and w/out a car, I cannot go back to work as I am partially disabled.

Re: Unemployment assistance
Hello,
First I hope this is not a scam. I am in desperate need for temporary help as on unemployment only. I am 53 and have never asked for help in my life. I am a nurse and work full time. I am looking for a part time job to help myself. I am behind on February’s rent. I have a power bill that will be due in early March for $343.00. I about to lose everything.
I do not use credit cards and am not a shopper. I am simply having hard times. I am paying the IRS which is putting me behind but I have to pay them. I do not want to be homeless, on welfare and food stamps. I just need some emergency help and would be willing to pay it back as soon as I have another job. If you can give me any information or help, please let me know. I am desperate. If this is a pay day loan company, please disregard this.

Re: Unemployment not enough for bills
Try some of the other programs out there. As if you have a "professional" job, that will help your application for aid. There are charities, non-profits, etc. While unemployment is a form of free government money, it is time limited. And the amount of assistance is limited too. So try one of the many other programs out there.

I’m reaching out because, I don’t know what else to do for my family? If you can guide and or direct I would be humbled and, grateful.

Re: Unemployment not enough for bills
Good Morning,
I am a single mother with one main source of income and also unemployment coming in the door from my mom. My household count is now two. Just me and my son who is a senior in High School and is looking forward to going to college in June 2016 to play football and baseball while majoring in Broadcasting/Communication. I have two grandbabies age 4 and 7 that I keep every weekend. I need help with paying my rent of$1,270.86 or with my current car insurance $196, or with my car note now almost three payments behind at $191.00 each.
My rental Management agreed not to evict us but to allow me to pay November rent on December 12th and December rent on December 26th! Once paid, there will not be enough for Tithes, food, gas, car note/insurance, Power Bill (SHUT OFF NOTICE), or Christmas gifts & Dinner for my family!
I have attached a copy of some of my debt as well as my mom's unemployment checks that I have sent to my job for assistance with my medical bills. If you can help in any way, I will be very grateful! I prayed and did not know where to go for help and found your information online. I have an appointment with JCCEO for February 13th for my power bill but need help ASAP!
Even though I know it is late, my Christmas wish list: My 17 year old son want a couple of polo shirts with Levi’s Jeans, my grandbabies love children’s learning books, games and babies! Mom: pay my November rent $635.43!
I have not because I’ve asked not. It would be nice to have my empty living room filled with furniture and to get our beds off the floor!

Re: unemployment not enough
There are programs in Kansas, in addition to food stamps, that can help you with that rent and energy bills. Also, the unemployment can be offset by the income from another job, so you badly need one. Until you get it, locate financial aid in Kansas for those living expenses.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am weary but still researching for the only mere benefit of my three children. If it were only myself and, my husband I would live in my car. However, we are from Orlando, FL and moved into a condo in the 32808 zip code back in February of last year (2014). My husband was laid off from his job in August.
I was currently the only one still employed. However, on June 2015 I had a severe leg injury to my left leg. In this injury it forced me to be out of work and care for my family. I kept in constant contact with our landlord. I was advised to contact 211 for rental help to be sure our family would not be homeless or faced with the weight of where will we live? Upon reaching out to 211 we were given an appointment for July 2015.
At this appointment we brought all documents needed as they requested and, that following Monday we were told, “We were approved for rental help and, electric bill help.” THANK GOD! But, our family was only to hear good news to be faced with our landlord stating that he would NOT accept my August payment for July 23rd and he started the eviction on July 8th, 2015.
I responded to the courts in a letter explaining the unfortunate circumstances my family has endured. However, the judge still signed off on the eviction and we are now faced to be on the street any day. I have a professional job at our top trauma hospital in Orlando Florida which currently is a blessing. I work from home now. But, soon no place to call home.

Re: Unemployment assistance
It seems like you live in Kalamazoo in Michigan. If you really need help with all that, such as a job and DTE utility bill, try a community action agency. They may have information for your long list of needs. Also, if you were denied unemployment, why were you terminated? As it is your legal right to get funds from the state of Michigan. Anyway, find the community action offices at this site. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... n_age.html

I am a single mom with 2 kids, and pregnant. I would like to see if there would be anyway to see if you could help me with my rent. I lost my job and am behind on car, SDGE, water. I have been seeking assistance's for a little a couple of months now. On Wednesday I received a 3 day notice to pay or quit. I just moved into this place. I feel horrible but my unemployment keeps stopping. I only have until tomorrow and they start the processes. I have had some real hard times this year. I have lost everything.

Re: Unemployment assistance
Hello, after 12 years and 4 months employed with the my employer, I was terminated. I have been actively looking for work, and by actively I mean everyday, from start of dawn until 1 or 2A.M.. I have only had one test day at a job, and a few responses that I didn't fit the criteria of what they were wanting. Now my funds are completely gone, and I fear that I will not be able to pay my Gas Bill (DTE Energy), my Electric Bill (Consumers Energy), and my Rent.
I am seriously trying to find work, and I don't want to lose everything in the process of doing so, as I have worked very hard to get settled in and have control of my life. I also don't want to lose my cat either, petty I know, but she is my companion, and all I have in this small home. I have already made use of the food banks in town for food, and I could use any other information that would help in that avenue as well. I have never had to do this before, as I could always find a job right away, the economy isn't so anymore.
So I guess I am asking for any information, aid, or anything that I can do to not lose everything I have. I have already sold everything that had any real value to make it through the month of March, and I still am going to be short. I thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I am currently fighting my unemployment, as I was denied once, so as of this moment....I have 0 income and 0 dollars anywhere, and I am running low on gas, but still make it to places and online to apply for jobs every single day.

Re: unemployment not enough
Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read my e-mail. I am currently collecting unemployment as I lost my job back in September. I signed a lease that is through August, however I cannot afford to pay.
In addition, I am having a great deal of difficulty finding an apartment that is cheap enough for me to live. I did apply for food stamps, however was denied based on the amount of unemployment I am receiving, however, the unemployment is not enough to cover my bills if I stay here in this apartment. I could use assistance with rent, heating, food, really anything would help. Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely,
