Re: Live in AZ and need help with car impound

Post by Admin - Jon McNamara »

Hi Joaquin,
Probably the best option is to try credit counseling - and go for non-profits only. There are several agencies to try in Tucson. Now they won't give you the $350 fees you need, but they can probably advise you on the impound rules and financial issues in Tucson. Then after that try a community action agency. But look here credit counselors in Tucson https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ucson.html

I need help getting by vehicle out from impound. The fees are exorbitant and I cannot afford. I can't get a loan either as my credit is terrible - under600. I am at risk of losing my vehicle to high impound fees in the state of Louisiana. Please help!

Options to get car out of impound when have bad credit?

Post by EnriqueEr »

Hi, my car recently got impounded. I'm struggling financially, have bad credit and have no money to get it back. What are my options? I'm homeless and live in car utility I get section8 housing. I have a 5 year old boy too living in my car.
What are my options because I rang them and they need money all on that day?
I suffer a mental illness & this has impacted me a lot. I'm trying to turn my life around etc.
I can't apply for any low loans due to having bad credit history. If I can't get it back then my 5 year old and me are even in more trouble.

Re: car impounded and need money to get it back to start new job

Post by MacroCar »

I need help paying impound fee before I lose my job. Came to doctors from out of town and stayed at a friends house in Madison. The friend told me to park in the spot off to the side out of the way due to no handicap being available.
I put my handicap in the mirror. They were never informed of any specific visitor parking either. Next day my truck was gone and the apartment complex was clueless and said they didn’t have it towed. The tow company said they don’t have to call cause they have a contract with the property to just apparently drive through the lots. Mind you twenty other vehicles sat with no parking permits nor is it posted anywhere on the property. The non handicap is way out on the street and there’s only 1 space near the building. They are refusing to work with me at all, and now I am going to lose my job as I can't get to work. The officer I called said this company prays on people with nice vehicles. Unfortunately I am homeless and was saving money for a place. I am also on disability and now I’m stuck out of town with my truck in impound I was living out of until I get the money to pay the fees. Please help me

Truck was stolen and now for some reason I need to pay the impound fees?

Post by Natlie Hawk »

Hello my name is Jeff,
On the 15th of last month my jeep was stolen and a few days later recovered by the police, and then impounded. My jeep is where I reside right now and I do not have the funds to get my jeep out of impound and now am currently out on the streets. In the meantime, I'm doing all I can to retrieve my vehicle which got impounded for reasons not due to my own. Now daily the fee to get it out is rising and I don't have two pennies to rub together as it is. I can't get a job and be reliable because I don't have transportation as it is waiting in the impound. I need some help getting my vehicle out of impound and was told I may be able to receive some assistance from you guys. Is it even legal for the police to impound the car, as it is not fault it was stolen?
Please help me... you can contact me anytime at the provided numbers below. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Since you work in Spokane, and need to get to the job there, maybe look into an assistance program for that county/city. As there may be funds for the impound or maybe a bus ticket for a few days so you can get to work. Look here for Emergency assistance in Spokane.

Good morning,
I am writing to you as a last resort. I live in Post Falls Idaho, but work in Spokane, Washington. My car was impounded and I need help getting it. After work on Friday, I stopped at a gas station off of Broadway to get gas and a couple snacks. I wasn't thinking when I grabbed my wallet and tossed my key into my purse on the passenger seat of my car. After pumping my gas, I realized I couldn't find my purse. I then came to the realization that my purse had been stolen out of my car.
I was able to contact a friend with a truck to attempt to tow my car home. Unfortunately, the car couldn't be towed very far and I was forced to leave it in a parking lot off of the Argonne exit . The next evening, when I went back with a car hauling trailer, I was informed that the car had been towed and impounded by Fisher's Towing. At this time, the cost to retrieve my car is $400. Each day a $55 fee is added to the balance. I can't seem to come up with the full amount. I haven't been able to work for the past 3 days and I don't get paid again until the 1st. By the time I get paid again, my check still won't be enough to cover the tow amount and my bills. I have posted a few personal items online for sale to try to make some money for the impounded fees, but I don't own hardly anything of value.
I am desperately seeking help. If you are unable to assist me, I understand. If you can provide me with any resource/agency contact that would be able to help me with my car, I would be so grateful.

Car payment help is rare. But some lenders offer options. As an example, find assistance for car payments, including refinancing, abatement, lender agreements, and so much more. But the aid is generally one time only.

I have a car payment of $264.31 and my checks have been short this month and I've paid my other bills, and I will lose my car to an impound if I can't pay the bill in full. I have $130.31 to my name so I'm missing $134.00. I don't know how this works and I hate resorting to this, but I don't have a lot of help from my family. I'm just desperate because I need my car as a means to get to my job. So I just need some help before it is impounded, and not sure what to do.

That is a tough one. It is your fault for not paying the parking tickets....and parking illegally. 100% your fault, so do not try to blame it on the government or Obama. As far as aid, try this for car impound assistance. Though the ability to get money is very limited as you were careless.

I do have an on call job but it is in another county, Napa, CA and I need to have my car to get there. I am contacting as many agencies that I can requesting emergency financial help or legal intervention to get my car out of tow. Thank you for listening.

We have many different ideas listed for this. If your car was impounded and is now impacting your employment situation, it is easier to get help paying those fees. There may also be loans to be used for a source of money, community action agency programs, and more. Find details on getting a car out of impound with no money available to the owner.

I just recently got married. I'm 25 years old and have no kids. We are from southern Texas and will be relocating to Austin, Texas while my husband attends school. This will be our first time renting a place together. I am working part time right now, and not too sure what hours I'll be working in Austin.

I will be the only one working because my husband will be in school full time. As of now, I’m barely living pay check to pay check. I have car payments even though it was impounded. We owe on credit card payments, and 2 school loans that I am currently paying on. It's been really difficult for me to save first month's rent and security deposit for this move.

My husband is currently not working because he's been attending summer classes that he's had to pay for out of pocket. He doesn't qualify for financial aid because apparently I make too much money. He just got approved for school loans. So it's all up to me to come up with this money that I just don't have. We're making this move to better our lives, but it's been very stressful. I heard that there were grants or help that I could apply for to help out a little.

Can you please help me find what I can apply for just to help us with this initial moving expense as well as to get our car out of the impound. At least for a security deposit, or something. I really need assistance just for this one time so I can focus on finding a job at the new location and not have to worry about whether or not we'll be able to pay bills for the month because all our money went to rent and security deposit. If you can help guide us to any assistance, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time and help in advance.

I live in Des Moines Iowa. Recently I got divorced from my wife of 3 years for many reasons but due to this and the child support that I am paying out I cannot get together the funds to pay for repairs to my car which I use to drive to work and to get my two small children around. To make matters worse, it was just impounded too. I understand if there isn’t a lot for me I make a good amount but in between my other bills and child support I barely make ends meet. It would mean a great deal to me and my family if I could get some help ......... but in the end if you cannot then I wish you all the best

You do have some options. You can try 1800 charity cars, or get an auto loan from Ways to Work. Last, but not least, maybe Opportunity Cars can help you. Here is a link for many charity and other organizations that you can look into.

car impounded.. need money to get it back to start new job

Post by wesrecruit »

My brother in law managed to get my car impoundedand I have to pay nearly 1k to get it out. I have been out of work for 8 months, and barely making it. I am self emplooyed so I don't get unemployment either. I start a new job on 3/15, but will have no way to get there without my car back, it's not accessable to public transportation. I'm in IL, anybody have any ideas? I've contacted everyone I know, and since this is not for food or utilities, there are no agencies that will help.
