We have no idea if an organization, such as those that are part of the Formerly Incarcerated, Convicted People and Families Movement (FICPFM), help with car payments or impounds. But try them for your friend. https://ficpfm.org/

Can impounded when incarcerated and need help

My friend has been incarcerated and their vehicle has been impounded and they are going to lose it to auction. They were in debt before jail and could barely pay car loan wither. We have exhausted all other means of help there is! I'm praying I can give them an answer this morning for some relief as they live in their vehicle as well. Please help. Thank you! The cost is now $800!
