Hi,
Mendota IL has less than 8K people and is in the small county of Lasalle (~100K). So as we are sure you know, resources are limited. We do hope your husband getts better, but as far as the financial help and other stuff you need, try this for a list of Lasalle County assistance programs. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... e_pro.html

Hi,
That sounds intense and so sorry. There are rehousing programs in Illinois. But they vary by capacity and town. So what area are you currently in? You probably need to stop moving throughout the state and try to find one local program or social service agency.

I have interviews that I also need to make it to so I can get back to work. I am located in Illinois moving from town to town to sleep. Please contact me asap

Hi all,
Obviously some local links to programs in IL are above, but try this for the general list.
This is more statewide and local programs - https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... grams.html
Many people often need energy bill help, even more so in Illinois due to costs of utilities there and those programs are here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... gy_bi.html
With SNAP / food stamps being cut, another common need is for food, ad here are Illinois food banks. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... banks.html

To whom it may concern, I am writing to you this morning on behalf of a lady that I have met on Facebook who lives in Illinois. I don't know her in person, but I do know she is having it hard right now. I am trying to find her some help. She lives in Illinois she needs a place to live, she has told me she has a cat and a dog. And that her daughter and the daughters husband live with them. I do believe they have to move from where they are staying now, she is an older lady that doesn't know how to go about getting help and the resources she needs so I told her I would try to find some help. Her name is Karen Scott. I am not sure of all her needs I do know she just got help on her water be they were going to cut it off yesterday. Can you give me some phone numbers or direct me to someone who can help her in the right direction? Her income is very limited as I said she has several needs right now. She also said if she could find rescue that would take her animals. So, saying all of this. I'm thinking she needs help with everything? A place to live, utility help, and other needs. Thank you very much for your help.

We do have some resources you can try for Watseka Illinois. Find them here. Get financial help in Iroquois County.
There will be some COVID relief as well as debt help and other financial aid. Review the resources.

I lost my job at the steel plant in town in May 2020 due to COVID-19. I was laid off. I got sick but was able to get unemployment. My unemployment ran out in December of 2021. I was current on my rent at that time. Now I'm $2000 in debt and need help. These people I rent from are also friends of mine. I usually don't do business with friends but I had no choice.
I am looking for help with rent. Back rent and a few months in advance until I can find work. I can't get work in town because there isn't much at all. I can put of town but I need a car. I'm working on that.
I just need any information or help in getting some breathing room by paying back rent and a few months up. Anything will help.
I've been googling but I keep getting scams and survey sites.
People who just want my info to send out. I'll awaken to ads all over my email and cellphone.
If you can help I'd appreciate it.
Thank you

West Frankfort, Illinois Crosswalk Action Agency has always never been hardly at helpful with the information I keep reading that states "Apply or seek application assistance at your local "community action agency".

I need help with rent and electric. I had a roommate in Illinois who helped me with these things, but as of the 15th of May the roommate has moved. I am on fixed income of $803 monthly and rent is $665 a month. Electric runs from $35- $45 month, maybe more since weather is getting hotter and hotter and will need to run air conditioner more. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dianna

Good evening,
My name is Shelbi, 08-30-1997. I am from Whiteside County, Illinois.
I have recently come into a hardship this month. I was pregnant, suffered a painful pregnancy, and recently discovered I lost my baby and had an emergency dace surgery on Wednesday, because I was bleeding excessively. I received a notice stating the funds needed to be paid by July 30th to avoid eviction on that day. I am a single mother of a 2 year old and 1 year old. If I get evicted or miss my utility bill I will be completely homeless, I am currently not working due to all of these health issues, but I am getting my job back at my recent employer after figuring out what was causing me to miss so many days. With the heat rising as it is, and I am slowly recovering, still in much pain, I cannot make rent happen like I anticipated. I have never missed my rent or any of my bills, I just really need some major help during this time.. I can provide you with my medical records to ensure I am being honest on my conditions, along with the eviction notice if funds are not paid by July 30th. If there is anything you can do to help me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it a bunch.
I reside in Coloma Courts in Rock Falls IL. I have resided here since December 2019. My rent is $612.17. I can set up some form of payment arrangement if I can get some assistance with my bills. Please let me know my options.

I am looking for an agency for my infirm mother, recovering from cancer and has many medical problems, being evicted from where she is currently living. She is on social security and is a senior but does not collect enough to cover rent. She does receive food stamps. Also for my brother, born in 1978, he is on social security disability and is currently homeless, he is mentally ill.
My mother is trying to find a place for both of them close to public transportation as neither has a car (my mother does not drive). They live in the Kane Co IL area. If you know of places that will provide housing assistance immediately please notify me by email ASAP.

The state aid will not normally cover furniture or those other items you mentioned. However, the state of Illinois will offer food, from both SNAP as well as pantries. It is great you are searching for work too, and maybe a case manager can help with that process too. In the meantime, find more on public aid in Illinois.

We have 4 children and we are struggling. Can't pay bills. Or car is dead. Its now impossible to get anywhere. I an struggling to keep food in the house during the end of the month. And I'm having trouble with utilities and getting then clothes. I need help and to make matters worse, I live with bed bugs because my Landlord won't help me.

I try but I need the place exterminated. My children are traumatized. Its very sad. My husband is disabled but not collecting. I get state aide from Illinois and search for work daily. We also have to move right after Christmas. And I don't know where we are going to go. I'd would like to give then a rain to smile before things get very hard for them.

I recently emailed asking someone to please contact me, but here is a same/different message while I am remembering of one of the r reasons I need more help

West Frankfort, Illinois Crosswalk Action Agency has always never been hardly at helpful with the information I keep reading that states "Apply or seek application assistance at your local "community action agency".

For example today I called this morning and they were rude to me and would not even let me explain my question and why I was asking it and interrupted me resulting in me NOT getting the correct info I was originally seeking which is very important since my family is currently facing eviction very soon (this week to early next week).

Thanks

Well, we have tons of programs listed for Illinois, including disability resources, housing, rent, and more. However since you left so little time to get rent help, your options are very limited. It is best to ask as soon as you realize you are struggling and may fall behind. Regardless, you can still try for financial aid in Illinois, and the programs are here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... grams.html

Need help in Illinois

I am in need of rental and other assistance, on a temporary basis. Yesterday 12/9/2013 I was handed a letter from my landlord and their Properties, Notice to Tenant", stating I have 7 days from that date to pay my arrears of 1600.00 or proceedings will begin to evict. When I moved in to my Art studio/apartment I did so not aware that the government would pass a bill to lower benefits. I am waiting for disability to approve from the state of Illinois. This will help with my now indebtedness. I would appreciate any form of assistance, to help me stay in my apartment that is 600.00/month. To move is considered a hardship, I have spinal and lower back degenerative disc disease. Art is my therapy and affords me the low impact activity I am so much in need of. Thank you for listening.

Call these non-profits and community action agencies in Cook County. They have programs for energy bills, including ComEd and Nico. You do need to keep making phone calls, and keep plugging away. There is no quick answer.
http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ogram.html
For example, your options include the Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Inc.. Phone (312) 795-884. Ask about the LIHEAP crisis assistance program, which helps prevent a disconnection.
Another option may be the Cook County Salvation Army (773-725-1100)
All of these have energy and crisis assistance programs for energy bills.

These last couple of phone calls were the last straw ..... Ive tried getting medical assistance, SNAP assistance and its the same damn thing with that. Im not looking to make a career out of government help. Never had to ask for help my entire life. Its real easy to help others live off it though, it was taken directly out of my paycheck. Maybe if I was an illegal I wouldn't be having such a hard time.
