Re: Home repairs
Hi,
Hoping to find out what resources are available to me to fix my roof and water tank in Craig Colorado, located in Moffat county. As that county was not listed in the webpage where I found this email for home repairs. Thank you in advance for your help, as any assistance to fix the issues in my home would be greatly appreciated in any way with any type of bill for our single-income household of 5 would make a massive difference. Again, thank you for your time and help.

Re: Home repairs
Hi,
There are multiple types of home repairs and locations listed here. There is a link to free repairs, but also for one source of info try a community action agency. They can be a great resources for anything home repair related, and look here for those community action locations in your area. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... gency.html

Re: Home repairs
Good day to you, I am a father of one boy just recently married to the love of my life. We are working as hard as we can, and I was recently laid off from my job. We live in St. Augustine Florida 32086 and I have been rebuilding a 20 year old mobile home with my stepfather and my landlord is not helping with anything I am doing out of pocket. Both bathrooms had rotten wood and black mold that was unsafe to live in and I had to fix it because you could see the dirt through the floor and reach your hand through the outside wall is was so rotten. Our roof is falling in and my wife and I are doing all that we can to meet ends meet as we try to pay for home repairs. I just spent the last 77 dollars I had on food and school supplies for my son he is going into the third grade. Rent is 720 a month and electric are around 120. Please if there is anything that could be done let the lord shine down on you forever for helping people like my family.Â

Re: Home Repairs
A combination of energy conservation and some basic repairs can be made by the federal government. There are cash grants for the poor and very low income. The service is free. It is called weatherization.

Re: Home repairs
We need help on home repairs, including a major pipe repair to the city street. The city of Mount Clemens wants this done immediately and is threatening to evict us from our own home. The damage right now is confined to the yard and street there is no damage to the home itself. I thank you in advance for your assistance.

Re: Home repairs
Well, weatherization is one of the easiest programs to apply for, so not sure why you would say that. Contact DSS or a community action agency. Just ask around. So ask them about home repairs. Note there is normally a waiting list, and many people do not qualify. But try. Also ask them about other grants you may need. For details, find more details on home repair programs.

I can't even find where to go for the weatherization grant to replace windows etc... I am disabled and my home is in bad shape and I don't have any money to survive and pay bills much less any home repairs.

Re: Home Repairs
Hello,
My Mom is 66 years old and has been living in a nursing home for rehabilitation since July of 2012. I am trying to get her home, but am having trouble finding someone who can build us a ramp for free. Our landlord has given us permission to have one built over the 4 steps out our back door. I live at home taking care of my dad who is 72 years old. We don't qualify for "low income" because of my income. I stuck between a rock and a hard place and don't know what to do anymore. Thank you for your time.

Re: Home Repairs
Good afternoon,
I found your website while looking for programs in the Denton County area to assist with funding foundation repair. We are in need of serious foundation repair but have been unable to afford the repairs. Could you please advise if there is an assistance program for Sanger, TX/Denton County to aid in paying for foundation repairs?
Thank you for your assistance,

To whom it may concern...I am not sure who to contact for help but me and my daughter live in a very old house. I have done a lot of work to it. But recently got laid off work in November. My house needs siding on it very bad. I cannot afford to do it on my own. The house stays cold where I need siding. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank for any help you can give me for the home and siding. Thanks.

Re: Home repairs
My home was saturated on the ground in Jan 12. I have since been trying to get it fixed. I’m paying for it and living expenses some place else. I’m paying for a POD storage unit, that’s $200.00 a month and late fee because when the Inc was paying it was do on the 28th and I don't get money until the 1st and 3rd. My house payment is $723/month and I pay on the light bill where we are now. I just need a little help with something until the floor is fixed and then I can move the things in the POD back in the house. Thank You

Re: Home repairs
Hi, I need help paying for a 20 gallon electric short hot water heater!! Someone shot a hole in the one I have currently. I've been trying to save up for one, but it's been hard as I have several outstanding loans I already pay monthly!!! I found one thru Amazon.com for 199$+tax. Are there any programs available to help me?? It's very hard to clean and bathe without hot water, ESP in the winter. I am on permanent SSD, due to back injuries from working as a nurse for over twenty years. I just need a little help to get back on track! My mother died unexpectedly last year, my father was placed into an assisted living facility and my guy was sent to prison the month after my mother died for drinking and driving a dirt bike. I really, really need help, if anyone can help or refer me to someone that could help me as a onetime need, please email me as soon as possible or call me. Thank you.

Re: Home repairs
I live in Lexington Kentucky and in need of home repairs in three rooms of my house the floors are very weak. In one bedroom it has already fell through in one small area that you can see the ground underneath. My water heater doesn't work and I have been without hot water going on a year now, I have asked Churches in Corbin Kentucky and Williamsburg Kentucky for help. I have also asked Bell Whitley Community Action Agency, Cedar Ridge Ministries, Friendship Center and Mountain Outreach all in Williamsburg with no success. I have asked three of these places for help more than once about these home repairs but they always say they can't help me. I have also contacted Corbin United Effort in Corbin Kentucky and attended an expo for low income families for assistance, still unable to find help. I have really tried every place I can think of. I am in need because I am disabled and on a fixed income of 710.00 a month. I am 42 and live on my own and cannot do these repairs or afford to pay someone to do them. Thank You for your time.

Re: Home repairs
Hello, I am a 60 year old male permanently disabled man I live in my own house that is slowly falling apart. I try to keep up with and do pretty good at doing it , but it rained hard the other night and when I went down in my basement, water everywhere. This is not the first time. I tried my best to remedy the problem but I see that didn't work. Well the question is this first of all I am on a fixed income and none of it do I get to enjoy, and I was wondering if there is any charitable organization that I could turn to and ask for help with making my basement waterproof. Please any assistance would be greatly appreciate.

Thank you so much for this site but from what I have seen, it looks like where I live there is not any help for me out there. My car broke down too and I need help with Christmas. Times are just too hard.

Re: Home repairs
My husband and I are in need of a septic and a well dug and hooked up and I was searching online and came across your page. My husband is disabled due to a work accident that caused a broken neck. He is disabled for life. We was only 31 yrs old when it happened and we also had a house fire where we lost everything. We had to start over and we moved to a trailer on his mom and dads land but we were not able to get the well dug. It was quite expensive to us, around $2500.00. That is money we just don't have. We are living day to day and we just don not have that kind of money. Is there anyone that you would know of that would be able to help us to get a well dug and the pump and tank also the septic tank. We are having to go to his mom and dads to use the rest room and shower, we live on the same 5 acres of his mom and dad we just know that its a burden on them and we need one in our own home. Thank you again for your time.

Re: Home repairs
Sometimes there may be a loan interest loan (or very rarely a grant program) offered by local non-profit agencies, like your community action agency. The one in Columbus Ohio is known as Impact Community Action. Find more about them, including phone numbers and addresses at Franklin County Ohio programs, including housing, financial aid, and much more aid and support.

My basement continually gets water in it and I cannot afford to fix the problem due to our low income level. My windows also have a very bad draft that always gets my wife and son sick during the colder months. I make over a thousand dollars let a month than when I originally bought my home. Also due to the water getting in we are worried about black mold developing.

Re: Home repairs
We are not sure about home repairs for trailers, however we do have extensive information on Broward County assistance programs. Call the agencies and organizations that we have listed, such as Hope Outreach Center (954) 321-0909 or the City of Fort Lauderdale Housing & Community Development Division (954) 828-4512. Ask if they have any recommendations for you. Maybe one specific program to ask about is weatherization.Or some counties also offer zero interest rate loans for home repairs. So maybe ask about that option too. And continue calling around to various agencies too.
