I live in West Palm Beach Florida and need help

I'm on short term disability making $720 a week. I had rotator cuff surgery on May 22nd, 2025. I did not qualify for the FMLA due to not having the number of hours needed. I was laid off on April 13th, 2018, which I have lost my insurance. I do qualify for the Cobra program insurance, but I do not have the $438 to pay monthly. I still have 6 weeks of therapy which is not going so well. I'm still in great pain doing the therapy. As of right now I'm unable to work or go back to work but as I said I have been laid off from the job I was at. Wondering what kind of assistance, I could receive like paying my rent.
I tried to sign up for information, but the form would not accept my email. Here is my information.

I need help -- immediate concern is paying rent, electric. I also need help getting diapers, wipes, maybe even a gas card to go to the agencies -- but the immediate need is to get my rent taken care of, I have no money and I am single mother of 2 boys. I don't have access to a phone, on my last 5 dollars of gas, I do have email. I am so overwhelmed and have never been in a situation like this before.

We do have extensive information on rent assistance in Palm Beach Florida. Some programs may have money, others shelter, and almost all have case management and social services. Section 8 will often have a waiting list, as you indicate. Click here for the resources and ideas for that part of Florida.
