I live in Palm Beach County and need help - I need options

Hello, I am looking for help with paying for plumbing issues, broken windows that are ancient and no insulation, electrical problems in our home.
We are both seniors, not married sharing expenses to survive and now have a kitchen sink that won't work, bathroom sinks, toilets all not working as they should. We have old jalopy type crank windows that are not secure or insulated, and both toilets won't flush.
I'm searching for any kind of assistance we would be eligible for but right now in dire need to get the kitchen faucet working. We paid handymen and plumbing company for work that didn't last and now have to do over again and I'm afraid of spending more money we don't have to get our home livable again.
We live in Palm beach gardens, FL by the Palm beach Mall on A1A.
Any advice you can help us with please let me hear from someone.

If you have a 13 year old, are pregnant again and have no job, that is a lot to overcome. In effect, if you were financially unstable and got pregnant again, definitely in a tough spot. Maybe for one option, try the Catholic Charities and Pregnancy Centers they have in Palm Beach with the list at https://www.ccdpb.org/programs/birthlin ... rview.html
As short term rent help in your ur case will probably be impossible to justify until you get all the underlying challenges resolved.

If you don't have a job, it may be hard (if not impossible) to get help with rent or a deposit - or really any financial help. As agencies want to do a hand up, not a hand out. But try this Palm Beach Florida County rent assistance directory. Maybe an agency there will help you.

I'm on short term disability making $720 a week. I had rotator cuff surgery on May 22nd, 2025. I did not qualify for the FMLA due to not having the number of hours needed. I was laid off on April 13th, 2018, which I have lost my insurance. I do qualify for the Cobra program insurance, but I do not have the $438 to pay monthly. I still have 6 weeks of therapy which is not going so well. I'm still in great pain doing the therapy. As of right now I'm unable to work or go back to work but as I said I have been laid off from the job I was at. Wondering what kind of assistance, I could receive like paying my rent.
