Need Emergency Assistance To All Programs

Hi,
I am emailing in hopes of having someone either call or email me with programs here in or around the Baton Rouge, LA area that can assist me. I am married, but I am the only one working. My husband is unable to work and we are in the process of trying to get him applied for disability. Several of his doctors have told him that he needs to do that, because with the medical issues he has, he is not able to work any longer. He has diabetes, high blood pressure, periodic problems with congestive heart failure, although he has never had a heart attack. He has bulging discs in his back and his neck which cause him a tremendous amount of pain. These along with advanced arthritis have him going to a Pain Management physician. Needless to say, our financial situation is dire. I am having a very difficult time trying to pay for medical bills, medication, a place to live, a car note, car insurance on two vehicles, utilities and food on one income. I'm in a situation where I really don't know exactly where to start, but I think that we should be able to receive assistance from someone. I have been struggling far too long by myself, and I am no longer able to continue like this. Thanks for any assistance at all,

I'm a single mother going through a divorce and my son has diabetes. I'm staying with friends and paying the rent and part of the bills. I have a car payment a phone bill and my part of the bill here I buy most of the food. My insurance doesn't cover my kid’s medications. But I have a full time job and I get paid by weekly. I have 4 dollars left and I don't get paid till the 4th of next month. I’m about out of gas I have no way of getting food when were out my car payment is due my credit card is past few . My phone bill is past dew and I've got to pay for my part of power water and so by the 30th. Please I need help!!!!! I wouldn't ask if things hadn't gotten so hard.

I'm the E.D. of a local nonprofit in Cecil County that was contacted by a family in horrendous need in Montgomery County. She was a referral from their family's cancer social worker. The husband was diagnosed with cancer, couldn't work when he had treatment, was able to return to work and was hit head on and ended up in Shock Trauma. They then found tumors in his brain. He is unable to work, his wife has degenerated discs from a work accident as a nurse. They have no income at all but are expecting an AFLAC check and partial disability check from the husband's employer. They are two months behind in rent and the landlord needs something NOW or will begin eviction proceedings. This family has nothing at this point and aren't sure there will be a Christmas. But more than that, they are afraid they'll be homeless. I have researched and given her info on the Salvation Army and Community Action Agency in Cecil County for help but she may not be able to reach anyone before Wednesday next week due to the holiday. I am unable to help as they are out of my jurisdiction. Can someone please contact this woman with concrete help or suggestions? Her phone is going to be turned off at midnight tonight so you can email me and I will try to see what I can do to connect services to this family. We need a Christmas miracle here! Many thanks.

I know she will never consider asking for help so I looked up this website and hoping there is something you can do to help her with her bills. She is fighting for her life and the last thing she needs to do is worry about bills and getting calls from the company's to hound her for payments. If there is something you can do please help. I can't find help for my rent or utilities. I've lost my room mate and have 3 children while i' am living off of ssi disability and there is no one else i can depend on for a while. My kids have birthdays coming up and my life is just a huge mess with health problems etc... Please help me in any way would be heaven sent. We are about to get Evicted out of our home. Our Electricity is due to be cut off in two days. My Mother is currently Disabled and awaiting a court date to see if she can get on SSI, and I am currently pregnant. We live off of my Step-Fathers income of only 10.55 hr. We are currently three months behind on our housing, two months behind on electricity, two months behind on gas, and two months behind on the phone. If there is any assistance that you can help us with or direct us in the right direction to get assistance either/or will be appreciated.

There are several non-profits, charities, and national organizations that can provide help with medical and hospital bills. Some do focus on patients with cancer too, so they may be a great resource for you. Find the listing of financial help with medical bills from not for profits. For cancer patients there are organizations like CancerCare Co Payment Assistance Foundation and Cancer Care Inc. As far as medications, try programs for free drugs like Patient Assistance Foundations from MErck, Abbot, Johnson and John, and many others.

I've recently been diagnosed (a week ago Thursday) with stage 4 lung cancer, and on this past Saturday, I learned I have a bone infection in my right ankle that will require me to be admitted into the hospital for IV antibiotic therapy for approximately six weeks. I am currently living in a domestic violence shelter in Queens with my three teenage children. We fled Georgia due to the domestic violence my children and myself experienced at the hands of my estranged husband. I've only been in New York for four months, and have resided in an domestic violence shelter the entire time. I have a girlfriend whom is also in a domestic violence shelter in The Bronx with his teenage daughter. He is willing to care for my children while I undergo my treatment, but is unable to move into my shelter, and my children are unable to move into his. We are seeking housing that will enable us to join him and his daughter and my children together during my treatment. He is employed, and I am currently receiving public assistance until I'm able to return to work following my chemotherapy for the cancer. We can afford about $1000.00 a month in rent. The issue is obviously time constraint (I need to be admitted into hospital within ten days or infection will spread into my blood stream) and the issue of not having any money for the initial

The first thing you need to do is get food for you and your family. Without that everything else is meaningless. Find our listing of Denver and Colorado food banks. When you call these centers also ask about programs in your area for paying utility bills, rent, debts, and any other help you may need during your emergency period you are apparently facing. So you are facing a foreclosure? Or is it rent? Either way try a mediation program. Basically it is a third party, independent person who will meet with both you and your lender to find, or "mediate", some type of solution. Together you will look into loan modifications, things like deed in lie of foreclosure, and any other solutions. All mediators that deal with foreclosures are non-profits, and the services are free, and oftentimes supported by your local court or other government agencies.
