My uncle (a jeweler) is battling advanced kidney cancer, and another uncle recently suffered a near-fatal injury at home. My brother has had to quit his job to care for them and my mother.
My mother is undergoing medical tests for possible cancer, and my husband’s mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
A Difficult Yet Necessary Move
While my mother and I have reconciled after a strained relationship, she wishes to keep our situation private due to extended family staying at her home until the end of the week. This delay adds to the logistical and financial burden of our relocation.
