Re: Emergency cash aid needed

Post by Lumineers1 »

To whom it may concern,
My name is Lacey, I have 3 kids, and we just got evicted from our apartment. I am in the middle of a messy divorce, and we are in desperate need of a place to go, have not even one dollar available and no help get out of our apartment. We have absolutely no where to go and no money to hire anyone to help finish packing our apartment and moving our stuff out. I don't where to turn for emergency help. I am behind on all my bills and I'm completely out of cash. We only have 14 dollars to our name and no one to help.
Any information you can give me, or any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I’m stressed, tired and out of options.

Hello,
My name is Alexa. During this season in my 10 year old son Kieren and my life we have encountered a financial hardship and we need emergency help to pay the bills. A year ago I was diagnosed with a health issue in my ovaries that prevented me from being able to ever have children again. I trust in God and His plan so I prayed to be able to accept this and that he would give us the help, and cash, we need.
At the time I owned a children's clothing store which has closed its doors back in February due to letting depression overpower the plan that God had for me. Kieren's and my own life completely turned upside down as I no longer could get out of bed due to this illness that was suffocating me. I isolated myself from all family and friends and the situation only got more horrible trying to navigate this alone with my 10 year old son. In June I reached for emergency help from the state for cash aid, basic food benefits and money but being in this horrible state of depression left us counting pennies.
We currently have not had any electricity or water in our home due to disconnections with no cash to pay the past due bills. At this time I moved in with an aunt who is letting us stay with her and only 4 days from being with her and her praying over us she has been able to help me see the light. I decided to get help and started on anti depressants and joined a therapy group. I also now have started applying at every job possible to get Kierens and my life on track and get the money we need to live.
Though I have put us such in a hole I don't know how long it would be until I can pay both my electric and water utility. In the past I was a person who has given and before falling ill I gave to Bethel Church in Richland. I was praying that if there is any sort of support or outreach you can point me to in order to be able to pay both these utility bills to be able to surprise my 10 year old son with birthday at home. He has been so humble and strong through this whole ordeal, that it would be a birthday miracle to be able to tell him we are going back home to power and water.

I live in Gentry, Arkansas, Benton County. I am on cash aid from SSDI and SSDI. I recently got a vehicle, and when I went to get it titled. I learned the taxes, late fees, etc., will be over $800. I only get $814 a month and cannot afford it. I cannot wait for it as I need the car for medical, so I am trying to find ways to get emergency cash assistance to possibly pay this so I can use my car again. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you cannot help me, is there any other resource you can direct me to for emergency cash?
Thank you so much.

Re: Emergency cash needed - Have a list?

Post by Fritz »

Hi, I’m reaching out in the hope that you might be able to provide me with some direct links to websites that would be able to assist me with either emergency rental assistance or emergency cash assistance. I’ve been on your website, but I seem to just loop around instead of finding the links to the websites. A little back story on my situation, back in October I dislocated my right shoulder at work and subsequently underwent a reparative surgery. Unfortunately that surgery ended up failing, and my shoulder still dislocates at its own whim multiple times daily.
It’s a neat party trick, but being a receptionist by trade and right handed, it’s made working not possible. During the diagnostic process for my shoulder, I found out that my spine is severely curved in every direction and I also have a hemangioma growing into the one of vertebrae, and a hemangioma on my liver. They also linked all of my imaging reports to one of my reports, and I found out that they found a cyst in my brain when I first started having seizures in August of ‘21, and diagnosed me as an epileptic instead of further investigating the cyst
Looking at my spinal MRI from my shoulders to my hips, my spine looks like a spiral staircase, so objectively, that's pretty cool too I guess. But, because of how quickly the shoulder surgery failed, my medical history, and the new finds I’m also in the process of being evaluated for autoimmune disorders, the thought being hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. And, because bad things come in threes, my car completely died at a gas station, leaving me depending on Medicaid-covered rides for my appointments.
During all of this, I’ve been receiving cash assistance from short term disability payments through my job, but it’s been just enough to keep my lights on. Having to prioritize bills, I wasn’t able to maintain my car insurance and subsequently my license was suspended.
On march 20th, I got an automated email from my works software with a link, telling me to use the link to sign in if it was before my hire date or after my termination date. Sure enough, I used the link and beside my name on my employee profile it said (Terminated) I’d been with VCA for over three years and they couldn’t even be bothered to send me a letter or pay the last wages they owe me. I got a letter from the employer-sponsored benefits company a few days later with my options to continue my coverage and telling me my employee eligibility end date was the 6th. So, I was fired on March 6th but I still haven’t been formally told so. Taking this as a blessing in disguise, I’ve closed out my 401k and used that cash to get my license back, and I’ll be able to drive with Lyft once the hard copy comes in the mail using a rental car through them. DMV just sent me the email confirming it was mailed on the 2nd, so here’s hoping that the recent issues with the postal workers being robbed of their keys doesn’t affect the delivery.
All that being said, I have an eviction hearing and need cash now to get on track. It is on my birthday no less, on the 17th. I am $3,398.24 behind in rent. I plan on driving as much as humanly possible once I get my license hard copy, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to come up with the full amount of money before my birthday. I have called everywhere I can find, I’ve been to social services, I’ve posted in financial assistance groups on Facebook even.

With that list of needs, try a county resource. There are many, ranging from charities to non-profits to churches. Some or all may offer emergency help, the food you need, medications, and more. Find financial help in Fauquier County.

We have a few suggestions for emergency cash. But these mostly involve work and/or success in getting say government grants. As just free, quick cash just does not exist. At least legally! Ha!. Try this for quick cash.

We do have list of information of maximum cash assistance by state. You hit that limit? If so, nothing we or a state can do. Look into charity aid. And of course, get a job or jobs to make yourself self-sufficient.

Hello, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm desperately seeking help as my cash assistance from the government has ended. Due to circumstances beyond my control I have become severely behind on my rent, my light bill and water . I'm disabled in the process of appeals for disability me and my two children already live on a very small fixed income after the limits were hit. As my oldest child is also disabled.
I have not been able to get anything for my children for Christmas. I just took everything I had to move us from an unsafe neighborhood where our apartment was breaking into three times and robbed We lost everything- our TV, tablet, games system, social security cards - they even stole food from our pantry. My children was harassed and bullied constantly they couldn't even go outside to play. I invested everything I had to move then started having problems with my car. It went from sensors to tires to CV axle busting and catching fire then two days ago the head cracked blowing the motor. I'm seeking any kind of help I can find whether it is help with rent, utilities, Christmas or even someone having an old car. They might be willing to get rid of. I have started running out of options. And terrified that we will be homeless if someone won't help now that the government cash aid limit was hit. I'm putting my faith in God that he will guide me to someone that can help us. I'm not asking for a hand out I need help getting a hand up. I've always been the one that helps anyone I can but when I need it everyone forgets and no one is around. Thank you for your time. Anything would be greatly appreciated. God bless you all.

On December 22nd the person me and my daughter had been staying with for the past year just moved out without notice. We received an eviction notice on the 29th which means we need cash in an emergency. My daughter is a senior in high school and I was diagnosed with diabetes last January and I'm type 1 so I've stayed home with my son while trying to get my sugar under control-- not successful thus far. I didn't have the money to stay there so we packed our stuff and had sums people help get it out. We stayed with friends and family until the twelve of this month. We were able to borrow enough money for first month rent $550. We have not paid the deposit yet, which is 450 cash money. Also we had the electric turned on in my daughter’s name and we desperately need emergency help to pay that deposit 250.00. I hit a deer in my car right after we moved here it's basically totaled. It's was 2003 Toyota Prius Hybrid. I' need cash to fix or get emergency car to be able to go find work. Anything you can help with would be truly appreciated. My phone number.

This is mostly for very low income families, so not sure if your grandmother will qualify. But we do have details on homw to apply for cash assistance in all states. The phone numbers, office names, etc. are all listed on the site.

Due to my mistake dealing with my elderly mother's bank account, her entire social security check was taken for this month. I did manage to get family members to pay the rent for this month but her cable and phone are disconnected. I know that sounds like luxuries but for her they are necessities.
She hardly leaves her apartment at all. One time before when her cable got disconnected, she actually got suicidal. Please help us with any type of cash assistance. Groceries are hard to come by right now also. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

I am a 27 year old female with a 6 year old disabled son. I work at Jack in the Box making $7.35 per hour. I try to work 40 hours per week but it does not always work that way. My son only gets $491.70 per month and I make MAYBE $440 bi weekly.
Our rent is $350, lights are $85.00 per month, water is $60 per month and we do not receive food stamps. We live in Bacliff, TX which is Galveston County and we are having trouble paying our rent as well as for food.
I try to apply for cash assistance, go to food banks and local food fairs but due to my work and the fact that we have no car makes things extremely difficult. I constantly cry because my son says it’s too hot to be walking but that is our only way to get around. Please, anything you can do to help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

If you have a lighing bill problem, try LIHEAP in SC. But if it is cash assistance you need, then the program to apply for is TANF. Read more details. This is the main federal government program that will provide cash for months to a very low income family, often with kids. But you have a long list of needs....car, rent, electric, etc. so you need much more than TANF can provide. You probably need to live with family or friends to cut back until you can get on your own financial footing.

I really need help from a cash assistance program. We need a miracle. It's been four years and we haven't celebrated Xmas because my husband had a heart attack and he killed 39 percent of his heart and he had four quadby pass and he has broke his hip too.
Now my husband is diagnosed with lung cancer and he has other illnesses and it's so hard for us. My husband doctor says he is really ill. He tried to fight for his cash aid from SSI and he was denied and doctors says that they are just waiting for him to go but my husband can't work like he use too. But he does try though and it hurts us because we stay here and there.
Now my kids only ask for a miracle and have a great tree so please if you can call me.

I honestly need cash to help with everything: food, clothing, personal hygiene, and deposit for an apartment. I and my 2 kids moved to Gwinnett County in June for better opportunities. Since I have found a decent job working as a caregiver, although my paycheck barely is enough to cover weekly hotel rent of $269.99. It’s struggling to provide for my children on a daily basis in this emergency. I'm striving to get us in an apartment but getting the cash deposit, first month rent, and utilities turned on seems to be impossible. So, I'm swallowing my pride and reaching out for help.

Cash assistance is available in New York. Try your local department of human services office. Also, if you only work part time, how can you hope to keep up with the bills (and utilities) in the future? You need a higher income. That should help reduce the stress you have, and any public benefits from the state of NY may require that as well. Here are resources to try. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... tance.html

Hello, I am in desperate need of cash assistance. In October 2014, I had a total hysterectomy that caused some internal problems. The doctor altered a previous bypass surgery that caused intestinal looping and bowel obstruction. I was placed on medical leave by my doctor for fear that my bowels would rupture and I could die.
I have been denied SSI and temporary disability from the government. I have no money for rent, utilities, car payment, or doctor bills. I just had another surgery in May to correct the original problem and will be able to go back to work the following school year. Baltimore city has terminated my contract and now I am without a job. Can you please tell me where I can find help to pay my bills? Thank you.
