Yes, SSDI and food stamps may take a while to kick in - that is even if you get approved for SSDI as most don't.
But as far as other options, we have a list of Polk County FL food pantries to try.

I am looking for information on the food pantry, the phone number and how I can apply and where it is located.
I live in Davenport, FL 33897.
I am a 60 yr old woman and have no current income.
I have applied for SSDI & Food Stamps but have not been approved for anything yet.

In addition to the resources listed above, Saint Vincent de Paul has a center right in Lakeland Florida. Try them. But the job market in FL is booming, and not working since February is odd to say the least. Companies are begging for workers.
