I have these web pages. I found your email on this list of Alabama housing and rent programs.
I have been calling and emailing one institution after another.
So far no one has picked up the phone and some numbers are no longer working.
I was hoping you knew who I should call in Alabama to get a person I can talk with so I can apply for rent help.
My client is too ill to do this herself.
Which office would you call if you were me?
Thank you
Barbara

Hi, my name is Nicholas. I'm not really good with these things so bear with me. I'm also not the type of gentleman to ask for favors or help because my parents raised me to be self-reliant. But I'm facing a challenging hardship and I was hoping to receive some kind of assistance if possible. I would like to know what services or assistance programs you offer around my area. I just switched employers and I had to go 4 weeks with no income and my rent is due by the 30th. My rent is already late and I don’t receive my first paycheck until May 7th and if I don’t have my rent paid in full by April 30th, then I will receive an eviction notice. My rent plus late fee is $595. And if I am able to get any kind of assistance, I can promise to pay half or the full amount or donate money to a local charity on May 7th. Can you provide me any contact information about any programs in my area of Alabama?
Thank you, and I apologize for being a hassle
Nicholas J.

My husband recently lost his job and has yet to find another and we need rent money. I am disabled and cannot work. I do not receive disability as I have applied. We live in HUD housing in Fairhope Alabama and as a mom icon two children, I am scared to death to lose everything. We need rent money. What do we need to do to get rental help and utility help asap? We have already applied for EBT but it is taking a lot longer than expected. Christmas is coming as well and I am terrified. I don't know where to start or what to do. Please help! Feel free to call me ASAP if possible.

Here are some rent and housing programs in Tuscaloosa Alabama. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... nce_p.html
If you can't even afford the rent, a car should be the last thing on your mind. How would you ever keep up with the payments? Maybe stick to paying the rent first and/or living with friends/family to get back on track.

I have two boys 16 and 1 years of age. I just looking to buy a cheap car to get him to and from school. I found a place and was hoping to ask for help with the first two months of rent so I may get a leg up. Please help I'm down to my last and need transportation for his school which is 30 minutes away. I just in a rough time now and can use a helping I promise to return the favor when I can.

As you learned, most agencies in Birmingham have limited funding, especially when it comes to rent. The demand is high, and most requests need to be denied. You need to take care of the rent first, and try a free prescription medication program too for those other needs. While we don't offer funds, we have referrals for you, and find Birminghamm rental help programs.

I will get right to the point. I am disabled and live in Birmingham. I have Heart Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, I am Insulin Dependent which included 2 different insulin's and pills too. Degenerative Disk Disease, L4, L5, s1 are all gone, But due to my health conditions, I am not a candidate for surgeries. I have Renal Cell Cancer, I am now minus my left kidney, recently. I take 22 pills plus 2 insulin's each day, to survive. I receive $801.00 from SSD and $367.00 in Food Stamps. I was not able to pay for December rent. I needed basic items, meds and co-pays. I tried to pay the electric bill in December but I just learned, it did not clear; now I have a disconnect notice for the electric. I have called, so many agencies for help, only to be told, no, sorry we cannot help. I have called to try and get some help with low income housing, section 811 programs and section 202 for disabled. No one has heard of these programs according to Palm Bay Housing Authority and they have no programs, to help us either. We are going to be on the street and I cannot get any help, from any Agencies listed in these sites. What is out there for us???
