Re: I NEED HELP - BEHIND IN RENT

Post by Carney »

Hello, I live in Texas. My mother is in North Carolina. She has some Medicare and receives a little Social Security. She retired and doesn't get or have very much from that. She is unable to walk without a walker and is now living with my Sister. Who has become her primary care provider? She is more than 6 months behind on her rent and we are working to help. Is there anything she qualifies for and are there any other programs in North Carolina that can help with this situation? My Sister is also unable to work in order to care for my mother. Sincerely,
Beneidt

I am 2 months behind in my rent. I was injury at work. I got let go and I never received unemployment. I was denied disability. I am still fighting for my SS and SDI with the state of Delaware. I have my 8 year old granddaughter that lives went me and I just apply for welfare because I don’t have money to pay my bills or rent or food. I am waiting for SS or SDI. I had a settlement from workman compensation and I spend all my money on bills. All my money is going out but nothing coming in and I need help ASAP.

Re: need help with rent please

Hello, I'm in desperate need of help with my rent, paying off a small debt as well as getting help for my 4 month old puppy who will eventually be needing food because prior to this happening, I had a good source of income (IRA). However after getting into my new place (apartment) and having to pay all necessary bills. I will eventually be running out of funds to pay pretty much all bills even though as of September 1st I will be employed part time as a nanny at $12 an hour, and my issue is that I'm in a real need of help with rent and anything else I can possibly get help with. Also, if I were to be evicted from my apartment because I don't have the funds for rent for the 1st of the month, I'm afraid that I would end up having to go back and live with my mother, who happens to be extremely abusive and can not and will not go back to that environment. Anyway, if someone could possibly get back with me on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again and have a blessed day. Yours Truly

In the last 4 months I have lost my Mother, my house was foreclosed on and my car died on me. I have no family here and suffer with major depression. Most of my money has been exhausted staying in motels until I couldn't afford it anymore because of the Masters Golf prices. I do receive SSI and am now homeless. I would appreciate any help you could extend. A good Samaritan took me in but I have to vacate this week due to their family dynamics. I have found a place but do not have enough for the deposit and the rent. Thank you for your immediate response and assistance in a desperate situation. God Bless.

Hi, I have been laid off for two months and spent all my tax returns on bills. I just got a new job but I will not get paid in time to make my payment for rent in the next week. I really would appreciate if you could help me find an assistance program to help for just this one month. Thank you and any help would be so graciously appreciated.

I need help paying my rent. I am currently unemployed, and my unemployment won’t be effective until July 2013. If I don’t pay it I can be evicted Friday June 15, 2013. I need help please. I have nowhere to go. I will be completely homeless. I ask for your help and assistance. I am currently looking for a job, and going on multiple interviews. I am so used to working. I just need help immediately. Please.

I have been out of work for about 3 months now and we’ve been living off of my wife’s SSI check which is just not paying the rent. We are keeping up with most of the other bills but there isn’t enough for the rent. When I get the income tax back we can get caught up on as much as we can. But right now we have an eviction notice which ran out on 6-15-2013. Our landlord is graciously giving us some extra time to get the 3 months that we are behind on paid. We are n a desperate situation. We really need help from someone.

Requesting rental (monetary) assistance to pay our landlord back rent - we owe May 2012 and now June 2012 rent ($400) a month; my husband's unemployment exhausted; I was laid off my part time reporter position at the local newspaper due to a combining of 2 offices and downsized on 5/9/2012. Am now receiving my unemployment benefits but it put us a month behind in paying our rent when I was laid off. It took about a month to start receiving my unemployment benefits. We did apply for food assistance and approved. Our most urgent need is assistance with one month of back rent. ($400). Do not see El Paso ,Texas Salvation Army listed. We have rented at our current address in El Paso 4 years now, is $400 a month for our rent - we want to keep it as it is low rent for us and we are not on any government assistance to pay our rent - can pay it with my unemployment going forward. Our landlord is willing to work with us. If any help can be sent we would want it sent directly to our landlord for our rent payment. We are in our 50's, married, no children at home so OWF will not help us as they only assist when clients are working and if they have small children. Did get us on the PIPPS Plus program to lower our DP&L and Vectren Gas bill when laid off, according to income loss - the back rent is our most urgent need, of $400 to our landlord. Do you have assistance for back rent to help person's laid off work maintain their housing? with rent. Thank you for your help.

So do you have an income? Is just paying for roommate until they got back on feet an option? Have roommate file for unemployment too. That should bring rent funds in the door. As you do those things also explore other assistance programs in Georgia and find other options to call for help.

We have tried getting in contact with the salvation army and other agency's but no luck. With limited mobility it is really hard to get the help we need. I would be really grateful if you could provide some information on resources we can use to get some emergency financial assistance in Lawrenceville GA.

For rent and water bills, call a local community action agency for help, grants, or advice. They are a great resource to call. Find a listing of Missouri assistance programs and agencies to call, and select your county/city of Clarksburg from midway down the page.

We have a couple pages of information. This is one that is focused on rent help in Toledo and across Lucas County.
http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/tol ... tance.html

We have another resource that also offers a large number of financial assistance programs across the county. This one has information on utility bills, food, housing, and more.
http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/luc ... rogra.html

Try them both for free advice and help.

That is great that you are getting a second job, trying your best to get ahead and pay your bills, expenses, and take care of yourself and family. If you do need some rent and housing help, try finding information on help in Missouri and find a listing of programs, agencies, and charities to call. Springfield is listed midway down as well for information on financial assistance programs too.

Unfortunately many rental assistance programs in Phoenix will require people to have some type of income. The reason for this is that they do not want to be looked at as charity programs, and people must have the ability to become self-sufficient. Find the Phoenix rent assistance programs and resources. There are options like the Central Phoenix Family Services (call 602-534-1250) as well as the Community Housing Partnership of Phoenix (call 602-253-6905).

Unfortunately I have no other income and my rent is due! I'm looking for a job at the moment but its hard with no money for child care or bus fare. I am in need of help to get on my feet. I think one or two months of money for my rent would be enough, and I can pay it back to whatever program gives it to me.

There are several organizations to call for rent help in Syracuse NY as well as Onondaga County. If you are working and have unexpected medical condition, that will usually help in the application process, as most organizations are not charity programs. Find a listing of the syracuse rent assistance programs and agencies to call. Places like the Catholic Charities of Syracuse 315-475-3807 or the Onondaga County Community Development Division (315) 435-3558 are two of the best options for anyone.
Jennifers wrote:I am looking to see if I can qualify for some type of rental assistance. I am a full-time employee at the Syracuse Children Hospital but since 6/11 I have been restricted due to a medical condition for which I am still being treated. My limitations allow me to work only 6 hours/day every other day. This has put an undue financial strain on me and I cannot afford to keep up with my rent. I would appreciate any information that you can provide me.
