Re: Depression causing me to be unable to work
Hi there. I am currently 35 years old and living in Tampa and battling depression. I’m from Boston originally where I was raised by both my parents, but my depression is now so bad it is causing me not to work. And so far my childhood hasn't been bad. In the sense of abuse or violence in my house. There was fighting yes, but I think every single family can relate; but never any violence.
And also had somewhat of a heavy and more serious tone. I was adopted at 3 days old and I have actually had the pleasure of meeting my birth mom & that side of the family. And the feelings were intense and still are. I don’t really have anybody else to turn to so here I am, reaching out, to anyone and everyone who will care to listen to help me work, get a job, and help a depressed person. I have been struggling hard with my mental health, which has affected my physical health, badly. I have been medically diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I have been on medication for years. To put into some perspective, I started taking the medication I am currently on now in 2015. And yes I have been taking it consistently every, single, day. Firstly I believe we have to celebrate the little victories AND the big ones so we can get all connection to both. I have literally just started a job on the 5th of this month and haven't gotten paid yet. Therefore I am struggling with rent and a few other of my bills., with already a 3 days notice at my door.

Re: Widow with chronic PTSD
Hello there my name is Angela. I am a disabled widow of 6 years with chronic PTSD.
I have been struggling with all sorts of conditions since my husband was unfairly taken away from me. This area is mostly poor and the resources are very limited. I have had to rely on charity monthly.
I receive 1083.00 monthly. I am living in the most depressing state, with PTSD, anxiety and more. I am Fighting rats every night and house is falling down around me. I have fallen through floors I have to put blankets over windows just so the window ac unit will have a fighting chance to cool off my trailer.
I stopped going to the doctor years ago and go to sleep every night praying for a miracle to deal with my chronic conditions, PTSD and issues. But I wake up daily in pain from so many operations on my spine and I don't want to be on pain meds anymore. I lost my car when my husband died and simply can not get a loan for a new one and I can't afford to come up with down payment plus insurance.
Dixie County does not have public transportation and the service's for medical visits is not very easy to accept because I have such pain sitting in one position to long my room mate has a growth on his voice box and has no vocal society when I can't take care of myself and I am 56 years old. My room mate and I are grateful we own our house and property so things could be worse. I couldn't get to the grocery store this month the dollar store is so expensive and it's not healthy food.
Suwanee River Economic Council has been wonderful but I need someone who can come see for themselves

Re: Widow with chronic PTSD
Hi, just looking for help paying my medication bill and Medicare Part B and basic needs, as I am a widow with PTSD. Looking for payment options I can afford. All of my income goes for bills an each month. I hope there is money for things like toilet paper and Medicare. To be honest I been trying to get myself new underwear for months now. I had to get winter boots because the pair I have don't fit anymore. I am a widow living on social security disability and trying to find help to get my Medicare part b paid by the state once again.
Once that is done my income will increase. Which will be great, but my SNAPS amount will change or be taken, and I need that as a widow. I pray I don't lose my SNAPS because it has been a huge blessing for my fur baby and I. I also get medical assistance through a program called Senior Life which has been another huge blessing for us. Please help if you can with my Penelec bill. Oh I am on the PA CAP program for my gas service People's natural gas. I received all the grants through LIHEAP in 2021 for my gas bill. As a widow with PTSD I am struggling with bills. I got so far behind with people's natural gas that my service was shut off from August to November. Sincerely,

Over the years I have been diagnosed with severe bipolar depression, bipolar type 2 with PTSD, borderline anxiety disorder, borderline personality disorder and schizoid effective. Re: Widow with chronic PTSD
My rental lease will not be renewed due to renovation of property. I cannot find any: apartment that I can afford. I am a widow suffering from PTSD as my husband died in the war. I am currently paying for all of my food and other necessities by credit card and soon will not be able to make the rising credit card payments. I cannot afford the first, last and security deposits to move, but I have to be out by May 31. I really need help to prevent having to live in my car. What can I do?

Widow with chronic PTSD
Hello, my name is Sheila. I would never have expected to be on this end, and would rather be able to help others. This month has been nothing short of surreal and to say crisis level is over the top for m. My mom 83 year old and my disabled son. we are both widow and I have chronic PTSD.
I am my mother's caregiver, and my son. He is 30 years old, but unable to function at a normal life due to TBI, and his injuries rendered him in a drug treatment of over 7 years. He is taken each morning for medical treatment. I have been on food stamps for me and my son because I have no ability to work due to my own medical problems at 58 years old. I have chronic PTSD from trauma, RA, fibromyalgia and debilitating physical depression.
To sum up this request for help, we can't pay our house payment this month of 767.00 and other household bills. They have no forbearance program. We have always been on time and if I don't get this paid by the deadline this Sunday 17th December will set in motion a lot of grief with the mortgage company. I have nothing left to sell to try to recoup the near 800 lost in just trying to catch up with other past due bills and then unexpected medical bills for my son.
I have lost too much weight on top of this because of this stress and my PTSD which never goes away as it is chronic. I have never felt so depleted from dignity as I do now. I made a promise to my father hours before he passed, that I would honor him in taking care of mother and always remember his legacy as a veteran of the Army, who essentially signed a blank check, his life to serve this great nation to protect our freedoms with great honor, duty and respect. After exhausting every possible way to get immediate help without red tape and delay, I have come here prayerfully for help to pay this month's mortgage as well as other bills. God bless you

Re: Support groups for depression
I'm 70 years old and I'm about to have a heart attack Thinking of everything I owe. It is depressing. I can't afford my HOA fees to stay in my home, my electric bill may be cut off soon, and I'm putting everything on my credit, which is full. Please help me. I feel my life is coming to an end with all the stress. Do you have support groups for depression? I'm even having trouble paying for my Medicare. I have nowhere else to turn. I'm begging for help. If's there's anything at all you can do, I would be greatly in debt. The stress and depression are too much for me to handle. Please help.
Re: Depression causing me to be unable to work
I have never done this before but me and my family has hit a really hard point due to my depressions, We really needs help. Support groups for depression
I am located in zip code 22031. I am sole provider to house of four so my "decent" pay is not cutting it. Thanks for your time. Every day you to push things out of your mind into a corner and I have run out of corners. I need to reach out for help.
By any chance do you know about or women/mother/anxiety/depression groups therapy free or discounted services. My insurance is terrible so I can’t even afford to get help.

Re: Depression causing me to be unable to work
if severely depressed, first of all get help. Therapy, mental health centers or clinics, support groups, medications and so many other resources out there. As far as the income while you get long term help, we do have information on free money making apps. Try them for income while you get help and look for a more stable job.

Re: Depression and PTSD
Try a counselor or therapist. PTSD and depression often require professional help...as do many mental issues. There may be free clinics in the Charlotte area. Or ask charities for guidance too...sometimes some like the Salvation Army coordinate these services. Find many other assistance programs i the county too. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ance_.html

We can't seem to get ahead which is very depressing. I was reaching out to anyone for some help. I am behind in my Rent and Car payment and gas bill. Not sure if I'm even emailing the right company. Re: Depression and PTSD
Hello,
I am a disabled veteran, honorably discharged from Active duty in 2009, reserves 2011, in need of some financial assistance. I have a situation which happened around August 2017 in Tampa, FL. Myself, son and husband were evicted from our previous apartment which is why we were forced to move to a new location here in Charlotte, NC where I have a friend whom I was in the military with, thought we'd be in a better situation by moving here.
At the time right before our eviction, I was seeing a therapist for my PTSD/Major Depression disorder there at the time and I was never given the proper resources I needed in order to avoid getting evicted. I was pregnant at that time, we ended up losing our baby girl on August 9th, 2016, after being released from the hospital, I was placed in a mental health facility for a week and the day I was released from there I received notification of a disability rate reduction from the VA. It was a lot to take in and being that I had just lost my mom a year prior in 2015, 3 days after my 30th birthday. Financially we were unable to pay the rent increase, my husband's job had ended and I'm on a fixed income. We had another apartment waiting for us here but were unable to get it when we got here so we had to stay with my friend and her family for a short period of time. We were able to find a place here in Charlotte, NC before the eviction hit our credit report but now stuck in this lease which the rent has gone up and if we continue renting here another year, we won't be able to afford to stay without getting behind on either the rent or other bills that we have as well as finding a cheaper place without getting denied because no one will accept an unpaid eviction. I am reaching out to you in need of some financial assistance in getting this eviction paid in order to help my family and me get into a better situation and possibly into our own home through the VA without having to worry about being evicted once again.
I pray you are able to help with this situation, if not please guide us in the right direction of someone who can.

Depression and PTSD
Hello
I'm a single mother of 3 and I live off of SDI/disability after my oldest daughter passed away in 08. I was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety and PTSD.
I have a very hard time saying I need help but I can't let my children go without a Christmas either. I pay 510 in rent andafter that an electric. I'm lucky if I make it through the month so I'm desperately in need of help for them with Christmas. I live in Coleman Michigan and I was wondering if you guys were able to help me at all. I would be so grateful for any help at all if you can please email me back or call me. I would appreciate it more then you know

Re: Depressed as can't pay my bills
I was unemployed for almost four weeks and because of this as well as resulting depression, I do not have enough money to pay all my bills and rent. I have enough to pay my bills and maybe a quarter of my rent (will not know until my second pay which is on 10/2). My rent is $565, plus my electric bill is just shy of $65, and I will be getting a gas bill in the coming week. I also have a phone bill that is $85 along with medical bills that I am trying to get lessened or put on a hold at the very least ($550 total, dating back to October 2016).
And none of this factors in the cost of food and cost of gas to get to/home from work plus car insurance. Is there any way to get assistance on any of this, or should I become even more depressed? I called a different place and they said I need a notice of late rent/late payments for anything before I can get assistance. I would like to avoid getting any kind of notices if at all possible just to pay my bills. I am willing to produce copies of bills though as proof of the cost.
