Good day, my name is Daresay and I reside in Philadelphia PA Recently, I had to take FMLA to assist my husband after having brain surgery to remove a mass. My husband has been out of work since February and was forced to resign because he didn’t have clearance from his doctors after 6 months. I have been the sole provider, and we have exhausted all of our personal resources. We need assistance with our utilities and rent. We have turned to the government for assistance but it’s a process that has taken longer than expected. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Since it is emergency help the site has programs for emergencies in Philly https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... sista.html
I also saw this for a state resource guide for Philly https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp- ... 0Guide.pdf

My mother and I have been staying at an Airbnb in Philadelphia for the past 10 months and our reservation ends on Saturday. Last Friday, while we were staying in one, my mom was admitted to a hospital for a diabetic infection on her ankle and has since been discharged. All of our money has exhausted paying for one more week at an Airbnb, supplies she needed for ankle as well for food. We both have 6 more days until our Social Security benefits are distributed. We need emergency funding. Please, can you help us or know if any organization that will assist? We have tried calling over the city and haven’t received any assistance.
We have been told they are full or just get voicemails with no follow-ups. My mother and I both have health conditions and do not want to end up on the street or in a shelter. Do you provide emergency hotel vouchers?
Please respond at your earliest convenience.

Good morning Sir/Madam,
My name is Scott and I live in Philadelphia PA. I am a traditional reservist with the ISMC and returned from active duty training to find out my civilian employer had laid me off.
At the moment, I’m actively applying for jobs and have an interview set up for 12/10. While I am behind on bills, the main issue is that I need some funds to get my vehicle fixed as the check engine light is on. Once this is fixed, I will be able to drive to work when the offer of employment is made.
Please let me know what I need to do next to get the grant/funding for this. Thanks.

Hi all,
We have information on both the "suburbs" and city of Philadelphia. There are many non-profits, charities and social services / government programs that offer financial help, both emergency and long term. Look here for those programs in Philly. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... rogra.html

I have blood cancer.  I need help with rent, and clothes for my family. We have struggled for a while by just making it. I can't work cause of my illness. I travel to downtown Philadelphia for my doctor appointments. I have to pay toll and gas. Could you direct me on where to get help?

Hi my name is Jason, I live in Pennsylvania just outside of Philadelphia and need help. I recently started working full time, and I make 17.20 an hour. I am living with a friend who wants to much money that I can’t save enough to put the deposit down on an apartment I found, Its 900 a month which I can do, but I can’t get past the 2,700 price to initially move in. I also need the money to pay a utility deposit and other bills here. When I’m paying 500-600 to my friend, who also told me today i need to pay half of the cable bill and other stuff now too. I can't afford to pay him and the move in cost of this place and need help.

I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I have tried to find an agency that might be able to help me with rental assistance or security deposit. Unfortunately I have gotten the run around. I call a number they give me another. My landlord tells me that it is hopeless, I hope not. I have a genetic condition called Immunoglobulin G Subclasses. I have IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4, this means that my immune system is seriously compromised. Usually I try to borrow from family and friends, but they are having hard economic times. I am chronically sick all the time. If I am able to get help with my rent I know that I will have a place to live, but otherwise I might be evicted and I couldn't possibly survive. So please give me accurate information that might help me live a little bit longer. Also my landlord won't sign anything pertaining to me getting help but I have my lease. Thanks.

Some of the agencies in Philadelphia will focus on families with children, and since you have 3, maybe you can get priority? Anyway, we are not sure. But try to apply for funds for your rent here.

Philadelphia programs to help me pay bills

Post by Philly Serty »

To Whom It May Concern, I'm living at my father's property at Philadelphia PA 19140. We are getting evicted on the 25th! My father sold the property without giving me enough time to find another place for me and my 4 kids! So now I'm going to be homeless on Christmas day. Can someone please help!
I've been paying rent since I moved in 5 years ago and been without running water for 4 of those years! I've contacted numerous agencies all to no avail. You are my last hope and chance, please help!
