Since you still have money coming in the door (from disability and child support) then maybe one of the no cost loans may be an option for you. The money can help you pay water, electric, and other bills. Maybe borrow $750 to keep the services on them pay it off the next month. Just an option/idea for you.

I Live in Junction City OR. I am disabled and cannot seem to shake the Crohns flare ups. My boyfriend was in a Log truck Accident less than 6 months ago and totaled his Semi Truck. He is lucky to be Alive.
Our water, sewer and Garbage has been disconnected “Due to our None Payment of Past Dues." The total to reconnect is $700.00 and with me being disabled and so dependent upon sewer you would think it’s against my Rights to turn my water off. I am totally stressed out & it also doesn't help me as I seem to spend Most Of my Bad days in the bathroom in a lot of pain.
I did ask if The City of J.C. Offices Would work with us. They said they will turn it back on when 500 or more of the 700 Is payed. They will then restore my service. I have had a hard time finding help for my water bill & it turned back on. I pray there is a Program out there that can help US. Sorry for all the details but I believe in being honest & thorough.

Since everything is so utility bill focused, try your local Utah community action agency. The staff there may help you apply to LIHEAP. Or lifeline may help you with phone bills, and then of course there are payment plans for water bills. So you should have some options...but you are in a tough place if you owe on all those accounts.

Both are being shut off tomorrow December 25th 2015. I just started a new job and won't get any pay until Friday this week, I have called both utilities to ask for a little time to pay the bills and take them partial payments this Friday and they said no.

I have a family of 3. One is a widow on SSDI. Another is a child 17 on Dad' SSDI who is deceased, struggling disabled 23 year old still on deceased also on dad's SDI. However SSA wants him off, got Habitat for Humanity to Help pay for Roof, paying off heat, very behind on water bill and electricity because roof leaked all last winter and had to use electric heaters.
We Can only get so much from LHEAP. SSA wants to remove 23 year old SSDI because he is working, dad had long term cancer. Really need help with water and electric now.

Good afternoon,
I am trying to see if there is any financial assistance funding available for my family with electric and water bills. I was hospitalized in June for 2 weeks and was already behind on electric bill when I got home the past due and current amount due was over $1,700. I called to see if they could work with me and they said that I had to pay $500 first and then set up payment arrangement. So I paid $500. In December and next payment was due on December 3rd $500. Which I also made and this week paid $200.00 next payment is due the 25th and another one December 3rd. Now another current bill is due for $400 and because I already have a payment arrangement they said that is due now too.
I have enough income to make a payment each month but because I couldn't make ends meet those few months I can't see how to keep them from shutting off and I have 3 children to worry about. Water bill is same situation past due $350.00 and want to turn off.
Please any information that could help my situation is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I don't know what am going to do. I'm a single mom working a full time job making 7.75. I don't get food stamp anymore and I'm trying to pay all my light as well as water bills and still have money for food. I need help paying my light bill but at the DHS office no one wants to help because I don't have 5 kids or on drugs.

I need assistance with getting my lights and water back on. MY bill is currently 190.00 to get back on but due to transportation I have been unemployed and the weather is getting really cold. Please I need help.
I have my little brother with me from time to time for me and my girlfriend to watch and I don't want him to be cold or bored because of no TV or heat. I just turned 24; my mother died when I was 15, and my father is on drugs. I have worked hard since I was 17 years old, but I cannot get on my feet. I want to move out of the house with my father; he is incredibly irresponsible. He steals my money and spends it on drugs; leaves the power and water bills unpaid and spends money on narcotics instead. My water and sewage was shut off through my town due to a delinquent bill on the account. Water is supposed to be included in my rent and he made an arrangement with the tenants who live below me that they would pay the bill in exchange for a discount on their rent, however they have moved out of the building and I wasn’t even aware that no payment had been made until the day my service was terminated on 8/5/15. I cannot get in touch with them or my landlord and the bill is $299.99
I do work but I am sole financial provider for a family of and receive very little assistance with the exception of Section 8 housing. I have not even been able to sleep at my house because I have 3 small children who can’t even bathe or flush the toilet. I was hoping you could provide me some advice as to what I may be able to do in order to have my water reconnected. I can be reached by phone. Who cares about Christmas if you can't pay your rent and may be homeless. You need to get your priorities right. As far as programs in Hillsborough County, there are many you can try. I'm a disabled, 62 year old, female resident in Tacoma, WA. I am very low income (SSI) in need of financial assistance to pay Utility bill as well as water costs. I am one month behind so my bill is quite high, nearly $400! I rely on fairly expensive space heaters as my landlord won't or is unable to fix the heaters in my rented house. I have received assistance from MDC for utility bills in the past. This community has been very kind, generous, and compassionate toward me. I am appreciative beyond my ability to express. I have finally found a residence and I am on housing, but I have debts with both the gas and electric/water companies. I have started to pick the pieces of my life up and put them back together. I took care of my mother for two years prior to her death in December 2012 then in August that same year I had my first fire.
I never have been able to quite get up to where I can pay those back amounts and I would really appreciate if someone or some entity could help. I also have three teenage children. I really hate to have to ask for help , I try to figure things out but this time I just can't. Did you just ask the apartment manager? Also, why are both of you unemployed. The job market in Washington is extremely strong. You just need to ask for proof of the utility bill, then you can look into applying for assistance for it. There are a wide number of utility assistance programs in Washington.
