Greetings, I am in a bind and really need help I recently moved to Atlanta Georgia trying to find a better job and I am on Section 8 due to the fact that I have not found a job yet.
I am left with electricity bills and water bills. I really need help. The people who they are referring me to United Way are requesting that I have proof of income and I do not have that. That's why I am reaching out to you googling everyone I can that may help me please help me.

Hello, I'm in need of assistance with my light bills as well as rent. I'm here in Griffin, GA where there is barley if any assistants. I'm currently looking for job nearby unfortunately, there is only positions that are an hour to two hours away. I attempt to contact my local church, they have no funds at the moment. Please help!
If it was only for one time, I actually haven't had assistants but one time in my life, Ever since I've lost my job things has been very hard. Especially here in Spalding County where their NO assistance. I do appreciate the time you took to read this. Thank you.

If you need gas, electric, and rent help, that is a lot. There are charities in your region. Try the financial assistance programs in Cobb County for support. There are tons of them available. But your income may be too high for cash aid in Georgia.

It is basically food stamps with a shorter application process. But it will not pay for any dog items though.

NOW BEING HANDICAPPED I CAN'T EVEN MOVE MY STUFF. I BEEN SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR AS I BORROWED A SLEEPING BAG, AND A COUPLE DISHES. I BEEN AT THE FOOD PANTRY AND I ALSO GOT DOGS BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE HEART TO GET RID OF THEM. THATS WHY I COULD NOT FIND A PLACE TO RENT.
IT TOOK 1 1/2 MONTHS, SLEEPING ON THE COACH AT SISTERS IN GEORGIA, I COULD NOT BRING DOGS THERE AS SHES SICK, SO HE KEPT THEM.
I NEED TO FEED THE DOGS TOO, AND THE CATS. BEING DISABLED I WAS NOT ABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN. I HAD 8 BACK SURGERYS, THE DOGS HELP ME FROM GOING CRAZY.

There are agencies that cover Lincoln Georgia and the eastern part of the state. But that is some list of needs. As far as transportation, as an employment or community action agency in your town. Some have car programs, or can tell you where to get some low cost loans....if your credit justifies it.

I have applied for assistance through my local family connections office in Lincoln GA and they have stated that project share has approved a payment of my electric bill.

I live in the State of Georgia. I owe back taxes on my property in the sum of $8,882.94. The taxes are from 2011-2014. I do have a means of paying it, but the problem is that I can't pay it all at once.
I've called the Tax Assessors office for my State in the hopes of getting on some form of payment plan, but Clayton County in the State of Georgia only allow full payment, one year at a time.
I guess you can say I've been blessed to still have my home after not paying my taxes for 3 years, but I realize I can't continue to wonder each day if time will catch up with me and I end up losing my property.
I was thankful to pay 2010 back in February for $3,219.00, and that actually set me back a bit, so now I'm trying to figure out how I can get on some sort of program to pay it off monthly just to show and prove that I am attempting to pay this debt as opposed to ignoring it.
I would greatly appreciate whatever advice or counseling you could provide to assist me on resolving this issue.

If you have multiple needs (but a focus in the bills owed to Georgia Power) try a non-profit community action agency. Then ask them about LIHEAP for those energy bills. But if you income is $200 every 2 weeks, you are in some serious trouble. You need to increase the income, get a job (and there are plenty in Georgia) and take drastic action. Live with a roommate/friends/family too. Good luck.

I've never had my own light until now and they said that there's nothing they can do about it as this happens sometimes and my light are terminated until I can pay the balance of $495. I have no idea what to do and I am asking for your help please. I have no idea what to do. I am so lost in this situation. Please send me any and all information on getting help with paying utility bills, rent, and possibly getting help with security deposits for a new place to live and securing utilities and rent in another place if we lose this one. I have applied for assistance through my local family connections office in Lincoln GA and they have stated that project share has approved a payment of my electric bill. The pledge was received by GA power on 3/27/16 and the voucher expires on 4/25/16. I have monitored my bill and no payment has been made yet. A payment arrangement was made to avoid interruption of service. I asked that the arrangement be made for the amount of the pledge, 550.27, on the date set (4/27). When I checked my account online, I saw that the payment arrangement was set for the full amount of 706.00 on 4/25. If no payment is made by this date, my electric will be shut off even though a pledge was made by family connections in conjunction with project share for the amount of 550.27 to avoid service interruption. I would like to know why the payment has not been made, why we have received no communication from project share, and how anyone can help us at this point?
I would also like information on getting free medical care as I do not qualify for Medicaid but require chronic medical attention for seizures and bipolar disorder and have no medical insurance. I have lost my car and did work from home but now can't go to the job I have been offered because I have no transportation. I am a licensed professional and want to work but I am in a vicious cycle. Please help me get back on my feet. The utility bill is under in GA power. We desperately want to contribute and become able to support ourselves again!!

It seems like you are making almost $2000 per month in all those benefits and the cash aid from adoption. That is a lot of money for a lost cost of living area such as Fulton County Georgia. And that is not even including income from a job! So if you just worked, you would be fine. Any agency you apply at will more than likely say the exact same thing, that you are not showing initiative to fix your situation by just getting some form of employment. Anyway, locate the Atlanta and Fulton County assistance programs.

My reasons for needing temporary assistance is as follows: My husband died suddenly at home standing in the presence of our two sons and myself. The boys and I stayed in the apartment because I couldn't afford it any longer. Well when I received my utility bill from our last apartment all at once, it was $1153 our utilities were shut off so I paid $500 to have lights and water turned on again. So, now the 3rd of June I have to pay $602.66.
I am a student (BSCJ) AIU- ONLINE UNIVERSITY had just started when he died. My alternator needs fixing (400$) and rent is due and I need a little help. We live in Atlanta GA. I am 45 years old.
My boys receive SS from their dad of $535 each and mine is $458 and also adoption assistance of $866.86 so with these unexpected expenses it's hard and I haven't even mentioned food. I am actively seeking employment in Georgia, my boys are good boys our new apartment is ($600/month) so we can afford to pay our bills, we just need a helping hand, right now. I am contacting you in behalf of my daughter in law/son and three children. They also have a newborn grandson/older grandson age 11 and a granddaughter age 9. They are in desperate need to help pay rent and electric, I just had a colon resection surgery for cancer of the colon and my son on emergency came to help me. My sons truck broke down in Maryland where I live. There landlord in Georgia gave them an eviction notice and the electric company already shut the electric off.
