Use this to find housing financial assistance in Utah. Some programs may focus on single parents, housing, etc. The counties in Utah are listed here. Maybe also try staying with friends in order to save money for rent too. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/uta ... grams.html

Help with rent, moving expenses, and deposits is the most common need we get requests for, so we have tens of thousands of charities, government programs, etc. that may have funds for rent. Of course the programs are local, so need to call ones in your town or county. Find ways to get help with rent and a summary of the programs. Then can drill down into local resources and agencies to call for advice.

I need help coming up with my deposit on a place and first months rent. I found an apartment right around the corner of my work place. I just need help getting in there. I really wanna get in there before winter sets in. Please I need help.

Security deposits are not as common to get funds for, but you can call around. Find programs for Bell County Texas here, and call agencies and government programs like Helping Hands Ministry (phone 254-939-7355). But good to stay with a friend until you do get financial help.

Anyone going to school and trying to improve conditions is definitely not lazy. Can you stay even a couple weeks longer to save the money for the move and deposit. That may be your best bet. If just unbearable, then find additional rental assistance programs and solutions here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/get ... _rent.html
You may get some help with security deposit, but probably not moving expenses or fees. Those are more difficult to get help with, but you can definitely try.

I currently live with an ex and him and I split rent. I paid 600 and he paid 600. I decided to move out not only because it is awkward and stressful, but because I just cannot afford the rent. I only have about $150 to my name. My father is sick and cannot work much and my father does not care about me. The only help I get is from my grandfather and thats the money I have in my pocket now. I found a studio that I like and feel comfortable in, but the move in fee is $300 and the rent is $575/mo. As I need to be out of this apartment I am in now by Mid October, which is coming fast. I have no one to turn to. It is hard for me to concentrate on school. I tried to find a job because I really want a new one that is reliable. I just need help with my first months rent and move in fee and maybe a little additional help afterwards until I can get on my feet. I would appreciate it a lot. I am not a lazy woman and I want to do well in school. I do not want this to hold me back.

Section 8 programs in California will in effect limit the amount of your income that you will need to pay towards rent, so it is in effect a reduction in income. It is low income housing, and you will see people of all backgrounds and circumstances living in the housing units and apartments. But many people are hard working and just have hit difficult times. Wall St. investment bankers can be seedy and unsavory too. Anyway, find California section 8 housing units and agencies that you can apply at. You can always apply and stay in the housing until you too get a break.

I personally feel that the section 8 housing areas are unfortunately choc full of seedy and unsavory characters. I do not want to live in these area stressed out my my son's and my own well-being. My hope is to find a good apartment in a safe locale in which I have assistance in paying at least half of my rent. I really need this right now however I don't have any intentions Of being a leech. We as well as many others are just in a very "challenging" position at the moment. Any suggestions would be golden

If you have a full time job that pays well, this is easy. Just save, save and then save as you stay with friends and relatives. Be sure to thank them and pay them a little, but save your money for security deposits and first months rent. Also look into housing and counseling in Sarasota County Florida, as we have dozens of agencies and programs listed. There are organizations like the Salvation Army North Port which can be called at (941) 240-5108. Many other counseling programs are listed on main site too.

In need of help even if there was a way I could pay back an organization thru the county. I have never asked for help before thru any assistance programs but I am in desperate need like I said. Thank you for your time.

While applying for SSI is a good option, we never want people to rely on the government. You need to find a way to get back on track on your own, develop self-sufficiency and pride, and pay your own bills, rent, and debts. Once people do this they feel great about themselves. Try this link for details on Missouri assistance programs. If you lost your home to foreclosure, your credit may be poor so need to work on that too. So also try a credit counselor too.

I wasn’t planning on this, I have a very small amount of money to work with...I need something soon, please help. I have an appointment on October 6th in the afternoon to try to get SSI, which will help my income go up to about $1150 per month, with God’s favor. They do back pay, not sure how far back, but the guy on the phone today said maybe up to a year, which would help me pay the deposit and stuff, I’m not sure how long it takes them to pay me though, and I’m not sure I’ll get it for sure, so I don’t want to put all my eggs in that basket, as the saying goes. The guy on the phone said though that I should qualify, based on what he saw in their database...I just have to go through their application process. I’m home pretty much all the time, so my pets are well taken care of. I’m a believer of Jesus, and spend a lot of time watching a variety of Christian programs, read a lot of Christian books, listen to a lot of Christian cd’s, and read my Bible. I stay to myself, and I’m a quiet person...I just have pets because I don’t have family, so I devote a lot of time to them. Thank you.
God bless you.

Find information on our Cook County and Chicago rental and other financial assistance programs. One of the great things is that the city of Chicago also runs their own housing and utility program too, so the city is involved in directly providing rental assistance and funds to the low income in the region. All the details for getting help with apartment rent in Chicago is here, as well as the phone numbers to call.

That is not much money to move into a new Vegas apartment. Can't he live with a friend or move back to Z until he saves that money? If not, look into rehousing type programs in Vegas. Some may have some cash for first months rent or security deposits. Learn more on Las Vegas rent and housing assistance. Call Clark County Social Service at (702) 455-4270. Another effective not for profit for housing help in Las Vegas is Help of Southern Nevada and dial 217-2445.

Hi. I would like to know if there are any rental assistant programs that would be able to help me with the first month's rent and the security deposit. I am a single mom w/ a 13 year old boy. I have a full time job making $9.50 an hour and my son gets SSI but it is based on my income so it varies from month to month which is not much. I recently found a one bedroom apartment in South Whitehall/Allentown area but I would need $1240 to move in by October 1st. I am able to come up with about half of the amount and need help w/ the security deposit. Can someone please contact me w/ local programs that may be willing to help me? I live in the Allentown PA area. Thank you so much.
