Re: Help with rent
Hi Caroline and all
With multiple requests, and cities here, try the main "directory"/list of programs. As we list tons of rent assistance programs here, from this link. They cover counties, states, towns and all parts of the country. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... r_you.html

Re: Help with rent
Good morning sir or madam,
My name is Caroline and I'm requesting assistance with my rent in Rockford Illinois. I have a grown daughter and her four kids living with me. She took a leave of absence from her job and hasn't helped me pay anything since April. I'm paying all the bills by myself and it's hard on one income. I don't know where to go from here for help with my rent? I'm emotionally exhausted and physically! If your organization could help me catch up my rent it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Re: I Need rent help
Since you are both single moms, you may be able to find some agencies that focus on help single parents with their housing needs. That will of course include rent, and you can find the resources here. There is a list of rent assistance programs for single moms.
Also seek a bigger home or income based unit with all those kids and people in it.

Re: really in need help on rent
Hello, I am currently interviewing for jobs, having been let go from my previous job and I just really need help paying this month's rent of $700. I lost my job, my mom was in the hospital, and my car broke down in the same week. I would really appreciate it (you have no idea) if I could somehow get some help. You'd be saving me. Thank you so much.

Re: rent help
If you don't have income for an entire month, your chances for rent assistance are not great. You need income to afford the property. Or you need roommates, etc. Some way to live on your own. Maybe try a case manager too.

Re: Info for any kind of rent help
My family and I are currently homeless, so need a place to rent and help. We have no friends or family to turn to. I reside in the state of Florida and while I have multiple job offers here I am not able to accept them since I have no roof over my head for my family or myself. I don't know which way to turn.
I have tried for housing assistance and Catholic charities but the housing has a year and a half long waiting list and Catholic charities tells me they have no funds for paying rent or bills every time I call. I can't afford a hotel for a few weeks while I work and save up two or three checks for a deposit on a place so I have nowhere to turn. I need help.
I have a 9 year old child who doesn't deserve this either. We were put in this position by a family member we trusted and whole stole everything from us and threw us out on the streets stealing all of our money and our home. I'm desperate I will do anything to find housing for us. I will work any job I have to however I do have multiple job offers that when I find a living situation the job is mine. Can you please direct.me where I can go and what I can do I literally have nowhere else to turn.
Thank you.

Re: rent help
I am the mother of my 7 month old child. We have been living in a low income apartment for about 9 months. I've been going pay check to check since we both moved in. I recently had to work two jobs to make ends meet while she takes care of our baby.
It has come to the point where rent is due by the 10th and I am in desperate need of help or else we will most likely get evicted. I won’t have any income until the 19th of next month. I ask please for your help if possible.

Re: Need HELP with rent
Is San Gabriel in LA County? If so there are agencies to try, and
find rent help in Los Angeles.
Now it depends on how past due you are. And did you pay on time in the past. If so, it approves your chances to get assistance.

Re: I Need rent help
Emergency renal assistance. We are 2 single mom's trying to help one another out. We live in a very small 2 bedroom apartment with 5 kids. One has 4 children and I have 1 myself.
Recently my ex-boyfriends smashed me over the head with a hot coffee pot, slashed my arm with knife, buried me all over my body, punched me in the face. It made me broke a tooth.
He did this in front of my niece. I’m having sever panic attacks on top of having Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis. He then locked her at one point in a storage unit for over 3 hours and we did not know he had done so. He sexually assaulted my daughter 2 times.
Between all the trauma and healing our landlords don't care and we owe them the rest of June' rent by this Tuesday for $320. Plus they want us out by the end of August.
My roommate talked to the police because he violates the no contact order and stuck's my every move. I was told by the police call any time he violates it and by the end of July we may be homeless for something we did not do. We have tried to reach out everywhere we can think of the are praying GOD is watching over us and sends us a Lil Guardian Angel to help us in this time of need.

Re: I NEED HELP - BEHIND IN RENT
If you have that many people in your house (3 daughters, etc.) then are they working? As when you apply for rent help any charity, church, welfare office, etc. wants to see you gain stability. So we recommend that. Only when that is done should you apply for help, and here are churches that may offer rental assistance. Read more information.

Re: need help with rent please
Since you are fleeing an abusive situation, maybe the Central Illinois Community Action agency can help you. They do have some service for domestic violence, for both women and children. the process may be multiple steps, such as first housing then legal aid. This then may lead to some funds for rent if/when a new, safe home is located.

There were times I ended up in the hospital almost mentally anguished and confused thought I was going crazy.
He was removed from the home Friday and he left us high and dry. None of the bills were paid and our water was shut off for almost 3 weeks now and electric.
He left us with no money and took my ID and anything I could use for help.
Cut me off from the world and cost me my job. We are faced with an eviction notice and have until Sunday to find rent and are planning on relocating ASAP.
Please anything helps

Re: Rent Help Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
We need help with the rental assistance program because I am low on income and my live in partner has been in an accident and out of work. The rent is going to be $420 for the month and is due on the first of August. I am pregnant and go to school full time and my hours at work have been cut tremendously. I am scared that we will not be able to afford everything that we need right now, and I am currently looking for a part time job to do on the side of the job I have now.

Re: I NEED HELP - BEHIND IN RENT
I currently rent a house that is $395.00 and they said that I haven't paid Mays rent but I religiously pay every month. I am on disability and just recently got $200.00 taken out of my usually $803.00 which makes $603.00 and my landlord wants me to pay 495.00 to stay. I was just wondering if I could get one time assistance for my rent or if you knew of anyone that could help me out. Like I said I'm disabled and have my three daughters and also my oldest daughters babies that live with me and I have no way to get this paid if I pay my electric, water, gas and sewage paid.

Re: rent help
The Salvation Army in Montana may be able to help you, especially if you have kids and you were truly in an accident. They are often the number one organization for job placement, emergency funds, and more. Can your doctor or employer send proof of your accident? But here are some resources for financial help in Montana. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... sista.html

Re: I Need rent help
You are correct. Very few landlords will rent to someone with dogs, and the housing in Pima County for ex-felons is even more restrictive. Those are two huge barriers to overcome. As far as financial help for the rent, first you need to find a place to live. Did you ask your probation officer? Often they have suggestions on rent and housing. But find othrer resources in Pima County here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... tance.html

Re: really in need help on rent
The landlord does need to give you notice per Cleveland and Ohio law, so that is good. Did you ask him for the information on the buyer? Maybe they would sign a new lease with you when they take over the home. Since you have been a good tenant and paid the rent on time, maybe they would do that...at least for a while to give you more time. But also try some of the agencies in Cleveland for information on other housing programs, as there are several. Locate our options for rent help in Cleveland.
