Pittsburgh rent and housing assistance needed

Hello I'm from Pittsburgh. I'm 32. I have struggled back and forth with addiction for years and now I am homeless. I’ve always been a stay a home mom. My fiancé passed away, and my children recited survivors’ benefits. I ended up relapsing. I asked CYF for help and they removed my children. I ended up losing everything else. My home and my vehicle because I could no longer pay my bills. Even working I don't make enough to pay rent in Pittsburgh. So, I've been homeless the last year. I've applied to the housing authority. Been on Allegheny County links waiting list. I'm at a loss of what to do. I'm considering going to school for a trade, so I can make more to pay for housing. I'm having a hard time and getting no real help.

Are you now clean or still using substances? As if still using, a transitional housing program may help. Otherwise here are charities in Pittsburgh PA that help pay rent.
