Good morning,
My name is Cheryl and I am trying to get assistance to pay my January 2026 rent in the amount of $1,250. I've am currently experiencing financial hardship. I've been placed on medical disability since August 2025 and am awaiting approval of my claim for benefits in Pennsylvania to begin so I can pay my bills. To compound my issue, my husband lost his job and is collecting unemployment ($468/month). I am also waiting for approval from Social Security Disability. My appeals are being handled by attorneys in Pittsburgh for both Social Security Disability and the insurance company (on contingency). I exhausted all the help I can get from family and friends since this has taken so long.
Please let me know what I can do for any favorable consideration. Thank you.

Hi,
Are you now clean or still using substances? As if still using, a transitional housing program may help. Otherwise here are charities in Pittsburgh PA that help pay rent.
