Where can I get money to pay rent in Myrtle Beach?

The main NHPB site has more information on local rent assistance programs.

Hi Patricia
Try this (as listed below) for the general rent assistance programs (that may also help with moving) for both Myrtle Beach and Conway. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... sing_.html
Since you are a senior, with a knee injury, maybe a church will help too? Since older/hurt. A major one for the area is Churches Assisting People - details here https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... _prog.html

Currently I'm not able to work due to a knee injury that required surgery, and I need physical therapy. I'm also my son's care giver he receives SSI and social security benefits about
$940.00 monthly has chronic anxiety and depression. So, I'm not able to afford living in a motel by the beach. I'm looking to move to Conway because rents are lower.
So, if you could assist in any kind of way with the rent for a place in Horry County, referrals etc.
Thank you.

Hi,
So sorry to read about the assault, and that is good news the landlord is trying to work with you and let you go 2 months behind. As far as the rent assistance programs in Myrtle Beach, there are several listed here at help with back rent in Horry County.
We know the job market there tends to be tourism based, but we also have information on job training and legal aid on the site that may help you.

Where can I get money to pay rent in Myrtle Beach?

Post by Howard1206 »

So I've been in a hardship for about 8 months in January 1st of this year. I was sexually assaulted in Lyft. I moved to Myrtle Beach with me and my two kids to a home to a small area so that my kids will be comfortable because they was scared. My landlord has been working with me but I have fallen 2 months behind. He's willing to work with me but something has got to be paid.
I'm working two part-time jobs I can save to pay rent but I can't catch up. I have been on the phone in the internet for the past month trying to find some kind of organization in Myrtle Beach or some kind of help to help me. We've been doing that if I just don't want my kids to have to move schools again my rent is $1500 a month I'm responsible for utilities central heat and air city water.
I resided in my residence with my two children. The reason for the fall behind is because my transmission went out in my truck and I literally live 15 minutes away from our small town community. 30 minutes from a major city. I did get a job at a Circle K 4 miles away from my home however it is been touch and go with getting a ride all the time Lyft can get very costly and considering what I've been through with them I really don't like to use them. My other part-time job is a security on the weekends and I get picked up to go to it please help
