Hello, I’m a single mother of 4 children who is struggling to care for them. I need assistance in paying my rent and my car needs some fixing and I work but my job is cutting hours and with my car needing repairs with no extra funds it’s hard because if my car breaks I can’t get to work to make the little hours I do have or take care of my children. Also, I have a hard time feeding them and  I don’t receive SNAP benefits. I have no financial support or help and no support systems from friends or family. I need help getting this car fixed so I can get back to work and provide for my kids. I don’t want to lose my apartment because that’s all I have as a roof for my children.

I am in need of help with my car repairs. I just moved to F.W Texas about 7 months ago. My Fiancé passed away suddenly and me and my 13 year old daughter decided we needed a change. I Currently have Employment with 2 companies ResCare Homecare ( I help the Seniors) and I also work for Uber Unfortunately because my car is not safe enough to transport my clients. My husband is 100% service connected disabled veteran from the Army during Golf War, and we need help with car trouble. Our vehicle needs free repairs and we don't have the funds. This is our only vehicle and it is unreliable to provide save travels to the VA hospital for my husband's care. We are unable to put the wheelchair on the vehicle because the weight of it may cause the vehicle to break down faster. We need this vehicle.
We were homeless for almost a year however we are in a house now, but funding is so tight I must choose to pay bills or fix the vehicle.
Do you know of any programs that may be able to help us?
We have a 2001 Toyota Sequoia that needs a new rack and pinion $1,400 or so and our back shocks are leaking $600 to $800.
We have no means to pay for this so it needs to be free. Robert my husband is on home health, housebound through the VA and our adult son who is cognitive and physically disabled, which doesn't give me the ability to work I am there caregiver. We service month to month especially after being homeless for 9 months before moving into our home we are in now. If you could help to give us a reliable vehicle we would be so appreciative for your help.

I need financial assistant on fixing my car. I found out that I need a bottom ball joints and an AC compressor and a filter that goes with compressor. I can get the compressor fix for around 700.00 and I can get thrall joints done around 160.00. Sorry to hear about the car tires blowing, the transportation concerns and other barriers. You also need to find a place to live. But in addition, try one of the car and transport programs for the disabled. Maybe they can give you some relief and support.

As we made our rounds saying our good byes, we blew a tire, changed it, blew another, and a stranger stopped and have us his spare, which held up for about 2 miles before going flat. We ended up stuck again, blowing through a total of 9 tires in 2 weeks. Our starter in the car went out, our money and other things kept getting stolen, friends started closing their doors and our situation worsened. So that car became our home. The final blow came ten days ago when we were in a car accident that totaled our car.
We managed to get a ride but got dropped off in some edition in Cherokee shores. We have been sleeping on the floor of a trailer belonging to a guy who is a friend of a friend. There is no water, no electricity, no stove, and is missing the entire back wall. We have no money, no way to make any money, and nobody to turn to. We need a car to not only get around, but to sleep while we gather more money. We are at a point where we trust nobody.
We just need a vehicle to find some sort of jobs, to sleep in and look for more suitable living arrangements. Please help us out, we are out of other options, and I am desperately trying to better our situation. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am homeless in Ocean Shores with my 2 year old son. I am staying between my car and friends’ houses when I can. I have a job in Anacortes starting Monday through a temp agency called Manpower.
I have a vehicle with a very large oil leak. It can make the trip to Anacortes, however I need assistance with gasoline to get there. I also have a 9 year old son in Anacortes whom I have visitation with every other weekend and I need to get home to him. Any assistance would be used for the purpose of getting to my son and work.

Car repair assistance to aid with my job searches. Most of the companies that are hiring are within the suburbs and most of those areas require you to have your transportation. I am a dis-located worker in the Houston, TX and have yet to find a career job to help with advancing my professional skill set.
Even with doing a functional resume the hiring managers are Leary about hiring people with degrees and experience because of two reasons...1. The hiring manager was promoted from within and most don't have an undergraduate degree accomplished and 2. The hiring managers feel threatened by the credentials. Hello, I was visiting the Eustace, TX area when my husband and I were victims of repeated thievery. My husband grew up in the lake Ares and we have been several times to visit friends and family with no problems. In March, we made another trip here to visit.
The apartment we were staying at belonged to a friend and caught fire, nearly everything we bought with us was destroyed. We the drive to the cedar Creek lake area to see other friends and family. I have spent money on car repairs, just as I paid to get starter put into my car, it jumped timing. I lost my job due to that, my fiancé found another job, I am currently looking, but I am walking and I have no one since my family lives out of state. I could have a good job, but it's a 30-40 minute drive.
I also had cancer and need to go to check ups and my doctor is 45 minutes away. I am losing everything. My home, my bills are overdue and I dont know what to do.

Hello, I'm very uncomfortable about asking but I'm in really bad need - it's my living quarters. A few months ago I set my awning up and I wasn't familiar with the winds here and that very day the winds came up so bad, 80 mph, it literally tore off my AWNING completely! The repair man said to put it back up and thank God He can because that saves me money, its $500. But the material is like another 900 then labor. I'm in a small coastal town in southern Oregon, Brookings, so I limited to the one guy. The other shop is double expensive!
But that's not the worst, the killer is this morning I woke up and went outside to check on the little free bunny that hops around and made itself up a little home underneath. Well He was gone and I could see why. Poor bunny. The whole bottom somehow broke and there’s leaks everywhere under there so I gather it is the water tank busted and somehow broke through in lots of holes dripping water like crazy! My manager said the whole bottom needs to be replaced plus go in and fix the busted leak. Could be just a pipe but you have to rip it all apart to get to it. A big ordeal and a mess. I don't even know if I can still sleep in here.
Then to top it off I noticed my front left hydraulic jack lifted itself up which is strange. I can't get it back down. That has never happened.
This is a good vehicle! Just 25K and a Ford Truck. So I turned the engine on to put the jack back down and there was this awful high pitched ear killing sound. So I went to go look to where it was coming from and it was from inside where the propane tank is. So I opened it up and there's a smaller tank and I saw burning fumes coming up from it. So I ran inside to turn the engine off and it stopped. The tank said something fluid. Can't figure it out. So my manager said there must be a leak and the hydraulic fluid is out? So that has to be fixed. I'm in a mess of a problem.
I have used up all my savings on relocating and other repairs and the huge gasoline and hauling my car. I used to work and earn $1800 a month until I got badly hurt and couldn't work anymore and my doctor put me on SS. I now live on $1000 a month! I used to live in a normal apartment but can’t afford that way of living anymore. With my savings I got this RV and moved up here. It's only been since April 2016! And now it's April. I don't have a mom who can’t afford to help me plus she’s 77 and needs her SS too!
This is causing me to get in great debt and I am very much in need for any help please. I'm now 8000,00 in debt to visa due to living expenses, clothing, gasoline, groceries, rent, basic needs, move in fees, etc., nothing out of the ordinary. And now this. ASAP please I need help. I will and am now in advance forever Grateful for anything you can help me with. I feel very uncomfortable asking for help but I don't know what else to do. This is my home for my 2 cats and my little dog. I'm on 44, but On disability.
I've helped out many people in need and as often as I can, but now I guess I need help in a big fast way. I'm making a very bad mess here where I'm living. I don't want to get in trouble. It actually looks like someone (I know nobody did) went underneath my RV with a BB gun and shot all sorts of tiny holes all over under there.

Usually the car repair work / labor component can be done by free. But you will still need to buy any parts. But maybe a mechanic can direct you to a local junkyard. Or maybe a store has a sale coming up.
Now it is hard to find these volunteer mechanics. Check with a church. Or maybe the Salvation Army. Those are a couple places to start. Also, look here for additional free car repair programs.

We are shocked you were able to get over $1200 already from churches. You should be so grateful to them. You should have never bought a 9 year old Kia as well...or 9 year old car period. Of course they will need repairs, in particular a Kia which is not highly rated. Anyway, try our list for assistance. Also cut back on expenses, move in with family/friends, etc. and save money for car needs.

I'm a 58 year old single female, living on SSDI of $1114/month.
I am in dire need of $326.13 + $90 for car repairs. I bought a used 2003 Kia Sedona mini-van Sept 2012, from private owner.
I have had several car repair bills accumulated since 3 months since I bought this lemon.
Two months ago, I tapped out the churches for another car repair of $391 for repairs. Within the first 3 months of owning this van, I tapped out all the churches in my area for $900 needed for catalytic converter repairs. And there have been several more repairs I have paid for myself, by shuffling rent and other bills. My link card amount was reduced to $5/month.
This vehicle has been a nightmare, yet I am in a bind, because I can't save any money to purchase another used vehicle, because I'm spending all my money and the churches' monies on repairs.

Obviously car repair programs are very rare. Sometimes a mechanic may volunteer their time, but the client needs to pay for parts. Or there are Salvation Army programs or church run groups. In almost all cases, the repairs will need to be very minor in nature. Any major work will not be covered, but try this to find car repair assistance programs.

I have a vehicle that the fuel pump has died on. I am currently in transition between jobs and have fell on financial hardship for the time being. I am starting a sales position that will take off very soon but in order for that to happen, I need my car in working order. I live in an apartment without access to a garage or a place to work on my vehicle. All I need is someone to help me get a new fuel pump installed.

Currently living in a hotel and my car broke down and needs repairs. I have seizures which I take Kepler for and will need them for the rest of my life. The recent seizures has left me with work, I've lost my ID during a trip to the E.R. And am running out of options and hope for finding a place to live. I live in Wayne county TN with my wife and four children. For the past couple years has been really hard on us. I have lost our house, two cars and am being sued by 2 different collection agencies right now. We have an outrageously high amount of medical bills, our light and water bill has been barely paid before disconnection for a long period of time and it goes on.
My youngest son arrived on 9/7/15 and my middle just turned 2 on 6/3/15 and they both have had extensive stays in Vanderbilt medical hospital.
My newborn was 6 weeks premature and my 2 year old had an abscessed lymph node where he had to have surgery and stayed for about a month and at the time the car we had didn't have no heat and had major front end problems so we took everything we had with our taxes and purchased a what we thought was our dream come true. It as a dependable vehicle and no more carrying a pile of blankets to stay warm and air to stay cool and we had something that we could get them to the hospital or ER and actually be able to get back and forth and then to work. We need our automobile.
But after 3000 miles the transmission has went out and it gets hot if it idles no longer than the light to turn green at a stop but I could continue for a while and I'm not trying to make anybody feel sorry for me.
I'm on my knees and am going ask if please if there is anyway in the world that I could get some help to possibly fix it or maybe a grant to put towards a trade or anything. I'm begging. I need these repairs, but can't pay, so need them for free.
I don't want pity from nobody for me but I'm broken due to the fact I'm a man of faith and a devotion to my family that cannot be rivaled and they have suffered because I couldn't find a permanent job. Or I'd get laid off or can't find to find one but please I'm begging for some help to acquire a dependable car where I can find a permanent job. Amador County, which is where Jackson is located, is very rural. Not sure if any agency will help with repairs or fixing the transmission. But you can ask. Maybe call the community action agency for referrals.

So maybe try them. Maybe they are aware of a junk yard to get the parts and some volunteer mechanics that will help install them.

live in Jackson California, and a couple of weeks ago, my car broke down. I work in Plymouth at at store I am not positive but I believe it to be the transmission. I still need to get it to a shop and have it tested. I am the only source of income for our family. I unfortunately do not have any money in my saving account.
