Depending on where you live, there are some places to try for emergency rent help. Since is sounds like you have 11 days (between the 3rd and 14th), that may be enough time to get help. As it does take multiple days....even if an agency has funding. We have a list of programs that can assist people that are looking for emergency rent help now, so try them for guidance.

$150 is not a huge amount for your rent, so there may be some programs for you. But if you are not making enough money at your current full time job, then you need to somehow increase your income or you will need support each month, which is not going to happen. So try some of the agencies that may offer help with rent.

Catching up in a matter of days for 3 months worth of rent sure is an emergency. In fact, it is probably impossible. Your landlord was actually very accommodating with you to not evict you earlier, as that is allowed in Pierce County. So advice would be to start to look for a new home to rent. Until then, find emergency rent and housing programs.

I need help with rent and job search. I lost job in May and I have very hard time to find one. I was not able pay rent for one and half month and I would not able to pay for October. My landlord told me if I don't give him $500 by tomorrow I need to move out on Thursday. I have no place to go. I'm a single mom with daughter. Try the Buck County and Philly housing programs. So we have extensive information on who to contact in an emergency. If you are working, and you say you can afford the rent, then start saving money for that deposit you need. If you just take a little money each month and put it in the bank, then before you know it you will have the money you need. Also, find rent help in Bucks County, as we have numerous options listed.

Me and my kids are homeless. We have been moving around for a few months. We are now sleeping at one friend to another month to month. I work full time. My credit is okay but I have a dismissed eviction on my record so its been hard to get approved for an apartment.
There's finally a landlord willing to approve me. I've paid the security deposit but I only have a little under half for the first months rent which is twelve hundred. I am in need of any rental assistance that you are able to provide, I have had money stolen from my vehicle as well as my paycheck delayed a week due to a change in their payroll and have had to take my children to the doctors which means an additional loss in pay. I have been told that I need to pay my full rent by the 21st or they have to go to the courts since that is their corporations policy. I currently owe $643, I have talked to them about paying an additional $358 on the 23rd which would mean I only owe $285 but they said they couldn't promise me anything. I have been told about the trustees office however if I loose hours during my work day its going to snowball into next month. How do I apply for rental assistance? I recently suffered from an ankle injury and was off work for 8 weeks with minimal pay. Having a very hard time catching up. If I don't get my rent caught up, I will be evicted. Rent is $675/month but I owe them $1100.00 for May and now June. I gave them all I had which was $275. I have 3 kids and currently no job due to the fact I was in school for EMT in which I did recently graduate from. Unemployment benefits just ended too! Been looking for a job and I actually landed one at a local Fire Department but I do not start for another 3 weeks. I need the help as my kids need a home.

Hello I'm a single mother and I have a 6 year old son. I can't get child support or help from his dad because he passed away. We were engaged at the time, but he was only 21 when he died and doesn't qualify for SSI. We really need help getting into a place as we are homeless and staying in a garage right now. I've called 211 which looked up all emergency resources/funds available and there is nothing at all. I don't see how that is possible. I even had a 1 hour phone appointment with the lady who was supposed to help.
Please, if you know of any help please let me know. I keep getting referred back to Community Action or 211 and that is the 1st place I've called. I feel as though I have run out of options for rent money. I was going to college and only a few credits short of graduating, I had Financial Aid for support but because I became homeless I was suspended from Financial Aid. If you have tried the Urban Ministry and those other groups, then just keep calling around. Maybe you will find some funds. Also, to get $200 from a church is very generous, as very few (if any) have that type of money. But here is more information on the Greensboro Urban Ministry services and programs.

I've fallen behind on my rent and I've tried everything I could think of to pull myself out of this hole, but I realized that I can't do it on my own. I'm 27 years old I live in an one bedroom apartment in Birmingham AL. At one point in time I had most of the money to pay my rent but my leasing off returned my money orders demanding the full amount. In the process of them returning them back to me, they lost them. We need Emergency Rental Assistance. My 5 children need help with $600. I just had a baby so I haven’t been able to start working yet. So now my rent is late and the property manger of my apartment complex in Forest Park, GA said I have until July 26th to get the delinquent balance or he would put the 6 of us out!!

I paid 250 for June rent, and I contacted my landlord and told her my financial situation this month and told her I would have the other 450 by Friday. She agreed I could pay it by then, then she called me and said I have until Friday to move, I have nowhere to go and I have a 1 year old. it'scold, and times are hard.
