I him in need of rental assistance as soon as possible along with utilities. I've been laid off of work in Annapolis MD for about 3 months now and I'm getting close to facing a eviction. I found a job but since I haven't been able to get a paycheck since it's a new job. I haven't been able to make my car payment. My car is turned off so I can't even make it to and from work, causing me to fall behind on my bills. I'm just scared of losing my home and want to get this solved.

Hi,
We do not offer an "assistance program" like you said. We provide referrals, and there are places you can try in Anne Arundel County. Generally, if you are working, but just recovering from a short term illness, it is more likely a charity will help you with those bills, etc. Also try a food pantry. Either ways, look here for places that help in Anne Arundel County.

Need help in Anne Arundel County

Post by trex »

Hello,
I am emailing because I was told in the state of Maryland county of Anne Arundel this assistance program offers to help pay for backup rent and food for those with low income and those impacted by COVID . I am struggling to pay for ridiculous late fees that my landlord had added to my lease and catching up. I am making less then 25$ an hour and am struggling and hoping that this email can help guide me in the right direction of whom may be able to help here in Anne Arundel County. My main needs are the food and to cover this rent as I fell better from the COVID.
Thank you
Sincerely,
