Hello, I am reaching out to individuals that might be able to point me in the right direction for financial assistance.
I am currently receiving SSDI and have a limited income month to month and not sure what help there is for SSDI. I have fallen behind on several expenses as well as my property taxes. My disability benefit doesn’t quite get us through the month here and we are finding it harder and harder to afford even mundane day to day expenses.
I am reaching out to ask about any automobile assistance, help paying property taxes, possibly cash assistance to assist with utilities etc.
I know I am throwing a lot your way right away. I apologize for that. I just don't know where to begin honestly with SSDI not enough.
My pickup, while it works, does not have a heater, or air conditioner, and at this time we are lucky and by the grace of God it is still running to suit simple close needs.
My taxes are behind about a year, will be a year and half in May. At this very moment it is approximately $700 dollars overdue.
I am behind on electric bill, water bill and gas bill.
I have several fines for ordinance violations and driving infractions that are due. I just feel as though I am drowning and need some help to get back above surface level.
Thank you in advance,
Cordially,
Who helps people on SSDI pay the bills when SSDI not enough?

Re: Who helps people on SSDI pay the bills when SSDI not enough?
Hi,
Right or wrong, SSDI never was intended to be a "free spigot" of money to pay bills. It is a very, very limited program. If it covered every bill no one would ever work in this nation and there would be even more fraud in the SSI / SSDI system. You can still work, live with others, use charities for help and more. But there is no simple solution. Like we said, whether you or we or anyone agrees or not, this is reality. But look here for more details on non-profits that offer help with bills. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ns_th.html

Who helps people on SSDI pay the bills when SSDI not enough?
Good morning,
I was provided your contact information from a lawyer, assisting me with SSDI. I am 54 years old, married 34 years and we are struggling terribly because I am no longer able to work and he has been disabled for over 12 years. I have been the primary breadwinner all this time, and now I am very sick and trying to recoup. I have exhausted my STD and my employer has advised they will be cancelling my insurance benefits, (Health, Life, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, etc.) on July 31, 2024.
Leaving me with no income other than SSDI, no doctor visits, nothing to keep my health up to par, much less allow me to return to work.
I am sure at 54, they do not want me back... But, I have rent, utilities, $400.00 in credit debt, (we don't use cc's, but this is owed on a payment
plan). We need assistance for just a couple of months. My monthly expenses range approximately 4300.00 including my rent. My husband brings in 2699.00 in SSDI.
I am not sure what you need, but if there is anyway to get help, I am willing to provide any documentation you need.
Currently, my credit score is not good.....but it takes years to get it great....and months to destroy it. I need help. Can you help me?
