Hi,
We sent resources earlier in this thread for the other Oakland CA rent assistance need. But also don't just rely on your community manager - due your own diligence and work. Another option to try is the eviction prevention programs in Oakland listed here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... venti.html

Re: List of all the places in Oakland California for rent help
Good morning,
I am in need of rental assistance. I have been unemployed since late February. I have been asking for assistance from the community resource manager of my leasing office in Highland Palms which is Oakland CA. I had scheduled several appointments which didn’t show or call to rescheduled. I have had to major surgeries for cancer and had been and still am looking for employment as a school teacher. The resource manager finally followed up with me about programs however, several of the resources have ran out of money. I have emailed the resource officer and property manager immediately upon receipt of my eviction notice. I tried calling the resource officer and texting the resource officer three times last week not a single reply. I heard from him on Monday. I follow up with the programs in Oakland, California zip of 94606 that he told me to do. Nothing has changed. I spoke to community eviction attorney who can not help me-yet. I am submitting application after application can for employment-any kind. I had been receiving unemployment however they overpaid me saying withheld information when I spoke to an EDD customer service agent who said she placed a stop payment on the day my I started my disability claim. Yet, they still paid me from the wrong account and now I can certify but not paid until we speak to a judge in appeals court.
I am desperate for assistance. I have faith that something is going to happen any moment.

List of all the places in Oakland California for rent help
Hello,
I am reaching out for assistance as I recently became unemployed and am facing difficulty with my $1500 rent payment for the month of July for my Oakland California apartment. I have no savings or family to help me, and it will take a month for my new job to process. I have never been evicted and fear the consequences of becoming homeless.
I am a 62-year-old woman with a background as a Registered Dietitian and an MS degree. I have recently applied for Calfresh assistance but still need help with my rent. I also have a dog and no air conditioning in my car, making it difficult to consider living in my vehicle.
I would greatly appreciate any rent help or resources you can provide, or guidance on where to seek assistance in Oakland. This is the first time I have had to ask for help, and I am committed to repaying any assistance once I begin my new job.
