I'm a senior in Las Vegas looking for temporary financial assistance. In the last 2 months I have fallen behind with my rent. My apartment manager has been working with me. On Monday I received the 7-day notice, but I also have an agreement to pay for what is due on 10/17. $1450.00.
I will only have $700. My daughter loves me, and her disability has not kicked in yet. Everything is coming due in the same month. Rent, car registration insurance for NV. June marked the year I've lived in Las Vegas. Can you help or point me in the right direction?

Hey I just saw this page for getting help paying bills...I just wanted to give you my story...my husband and I moved to Las Vegas from San Jose cause we were living in our car and I was pregnant...now we’re in Vegas and life hasn’t exactly helped us out...I had my daughter about 2 months ago and we’re so behind on so many things....
I made sure our daughter was okay but my husband and I aren’t okay mentally or physically. Our rent is half paid for and our phone bill is 16 days past due and our storage in San Jose is coming up and we don’t have money to pay for it so we might lose everything....my account is -200 right now cause it keeps getting insufficient funds cause I can’t put any money in there at all.
My husband is working at a casino in Vegas but there only paying 7$ an hour and we use that for gas and sometimes food.....we’re really struggling right now and a blessing would help us more than you would think ??
If you read this thank you for taking the time. I had to reach out somehow because we don’t have much family at all....

Hi,
If you owe $2085 in rent no place will try, but anyway look here for rent help in LV. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... vegas.html

As far as the $750 for utilities, depends on your power company. But look here for help with utility costs in Las Vegas.

I'm in Las Vegas, NV and looking for help paying rent and other bills. I’m also seeking any assistance available for specific, new job training opportunities I've researched. Is there anything that could supplement partial or all of the cost of a specific course or courses that I’m interested in? Any help financially for the bills or training or housing in Las Vegas would be greatly appreciated.
I have a specific job & specific coursework. I have researched and created a 1-year plan based entirely around the specific online course(s) I wish to take. I desperately need funds to take that specific goal that is very important to me. I have proof of ability to pay back any borrowed funds available for training and solid 1,3,5 years goals with realistic objectives.

Need help paying for a security deposit and utilities. I have a section 8 voucher
I’m a single mother in Las Vegas. I won the lottery which put me on the section 8 waiting list in Las Vegas NV after a few years. I’ve finally received my section 8 voucher. I have until July 2024 to find a place but the security deposits are way to much for me to afford. I need help with it also I need help catching my my utilities up (NV energy and southwest gas). I already received help from the energy assistance program which caught my power up almost all the way. Anything you could help me with or point me in the direction to get the help I need would be gratefully appreciated, thank you some much

Hi, My name is Cassi. I am a single mother of two elementary aged children in Las Vegas. I lost my job in January due to my children’s health issues and haven’t been able to land a new one seeing as I am still dealing with the kids health issues.
I have a 7 year old son who has a terrible immune system and is always sick and my 9 year old daughter was just diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia, and she is said to be suffering from trauma. In 2020 their father and I separated and during the separation he contracted a staff/mrsa infection which caused paralysis.
Between the separation, moving out of our family home to another part of Vegas, COVID, watching their dad leave in an ambulance, then being without him for 6m months while he was in a rehabilitation facility half way across the country… the kid have struggled with mental health a bit.
am really trying to find a remote position somewhere in Nevada so I can be home with the kids if they are sick or refusing to keep close on and go to school. I have been paying my rent using my savings and my tax return since losing my job. Unfortunately, my savings has ran out and I was unable to pay April’s rent. I received a 7 day pay or quit notice immediately.
I am in Nevada and we do have a rental assistance program, however, you cannot apply until you receive an eviction notice and they are so backed up, I was told they are currently working on November and December applicants. I have applied for the program and I have also filed the answer with the court. I now have court on Wednesday, May 1st but it’s very unlikely I will have a caseworker by then so I will undoubtedly lose my home. My kids and I have nowhere else to go. Can you point me in a direction for some help?

My name is Raymond . I live in Las Vegas, NV. I moved here in December from Cleveland, OH to help my family. Unfortunately for the short term things haven't gone as planned. I will be without a place to stay in 5 days until my Sister finds another house through Section 8. She has until June when her voucher expires. Until then it's either living out of my car or I guess who knows were. I need help in paying my phone bill for April at least so she can get ahold of me. My phone bill is only $61. And then I need to pay my car payment for March which is due tomorrow and that's $381 and my car insurance which is $182 and is due by Sunday. And knowing I will be living out of my car until then scares me. I need help very bad and assistance in Las Vegas. I'm scared. Can you help me please? Whatever you can do I will greatly appreciate. Thank you.

The Salvation Army has multiple locations in both the city of Las Vegas as well as Clark County. they do have many senior citizen programs. Or give referrals too. Either way, they can be a great option. Read more on Las Vegas Salvation Army assistance programs. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... assis.html

Hello,
My mother is a senior citizen in Lad Vegas. I live in California. She is in separate need of assistance in Las Vegas. She has lost her ID and her debit card. She has some mental issues so it is hard to communicate with her from California to help her get her debit card replaced and her ID. Is there anyone that could go visit her to help her with her paperwork?

As you said, since the economy is growing then get a job. There are tons of them. A growing economy in Las Vegas does not "entitle" you to more money for doing nothing. Terrible attitude to have. You are also asking for the sun and the moon...anything else on your list of demands? As maybe you can ask them when applying for financial help in Las Vegas, as there are many organizations to try.

I can't pay the electric bill like it is or the gas bill. I have a disconnected bill on gas, which I imagine they will shut off around the 18th of August. My roommate / best friend got into some trouble and is stuck in Jail so he can't come to my rescue and I need help. Once the initial huge bills are paid, I can pay the monthly as long as they don't go over a certain amount.
I also like where I live and I have animals so I need help with rental payments, maybe lowering them to $500 rather then $700 per month. I already get disability, Medicare and medicaid and part D. But that's not enough with the growing economy. My check covers other bills unrelated to living expenses as I had bills before my injuries.

I would like some help with Rent. My husband has been out of regular work for about 5 months. We have managed to pull things together so far however everything is gone now. Savings, family contacts, and friends have helped however now there is no where else to turn.
My monthly rent in Vegas is 1,000, my car payment is 97 week, his car payment is 146.50 every two weeks, utilities run about 400.00 a month. My income is 2000.00 a month just with what I have listed here it comes to 2081 and that is not getting me back and forth to work food for the family or daycare expense. The list goes on and on. Please let me know if you can help us.

Re: UTILITY BILLS IN LAS VEGAS

There are assistance programs and ways to get help in Las Vegas and Clark County. Programs and agencies are here. Also try a program offered by Nevada Power known as Project REACH (Relief through Energy Assistance to Prevent Customer Hardships). The United Way of Southern Nevada runs the utility assistance program. Or call the Salvation Army Family Services at 649-8240 for info on Project Reach. Another option is the Special Assistance Fund for Energy (SAFE). Ask the Salvation Army about that as well. Or even ask Nevada Power.

Unfortunately, all my savings are gone, and I can't pay any of my
current bills. I am behind on my utility bills (NV Energy is sending
out estimated bills and I am being ripped off - I am 1 person, not a

and I received bill last month for $425.73 and current $489.87?

I desperately need help or I will be turned off by 9/2 - I have been trying
to call NV Energy for 3-days without success, just busy signal.

PLEASE, I am desperate and have no way to go at the moment.

Thank you for your assistance.

Re: HELP IN LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas and Clark County Nevada have various charities and non-profits that provide help. For example the Clark County Social Service has provided rental help to almost 40,000 people, just in one year! Lutheran Social Services Of Nevada can provide individuals with money for paying rent and utility bills, and funds for other expenses. Even free food to Las Vegas people who need help. Debt reduction agencies also operate out of Clark County

I suggest trying a community action organization in Las Vegas. They may be able to help you with your bills, debts, and get back on your feet.
May be able to provide housing assistance and more.
http://www.csareno.org/
They offer programs in much of Nevada, and can refer you to local Las Vegas areas if need be.

Las Vegas Nevada Assistance

Post by ybnormull »

I need help badly. I was laid off in Oct. 2008.
I had to give up the house I'd lived in for 5 years. I had a job for 1 month from May to June when that company ran out of work. I had good credit and ran it all up trying to keep from losing everything. Now I'm still losing everything and have huge debt.
While I was working years ago I started stocking non-perishables just in case anything like this were to happen. I've been living off that but now I'm out of food. If I spend no money, I can make the rent but I didn't pay any bills this month and I'm getting disconnect notices.
I started college full-time in June in a bachelors program and just completed my first quarter with nearly a 4.0 GPA I have been unsuccessful as yet at finding any grants or scholarships. It's looking as though I will have to put everythiong in storage and live in my vehicle. Las Vegas NV.
