Re: Need transportation in order to get a job

Post by Redwoddswer »

Me and my husband Jibe fell on extremely hard times. He and my daughter were in a car wreck causing us to lose our car and he lost his job. We live out of town in the country with no public transportation. We are 2 months behind on rent about to lose our home any day the landlord shows up and our 7-year-old daughter don't even have 1 present for Christmas. I am at my wits end on what to do or who can help. If you know anyone that could give us help with transportation like a car so we can get a job I would be incredibly grateful. If not just a hand up and prayers at this point also would be appreciated. She is used to having wonderful Christmases and don't want her to lose her home along with having nothing on Christmas.

Hi,
To clarify, are all 3 of you in need of transportation? The 2 older kids and you? Of course that is harder due to demands on "the system". Can't all 3 of you band together to pay for something? Either way, here is our list of various transportation services. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tance.html

I am in great need of transportation to be self-sufficient, to get to and from my appointments, picking up prescriptions, going to the grocery store, etc. It concerns me sending my children to walk down the street to Family dollar for food when we are unable to use a cab to the grocery store.

Hi Anya
Are you really asking for a "second" car? Seriously? When countless people can't get one car, or pay for one? Please take a second look at your request and reflect on your request. As it is outrageous. It is right up there with people asking for help to pay for Cable TV. Regardless, if you really need transportation or help to get to a job, look here for a free ride program.

Hello my name is Anya. I am a mother of two and have been homeless at least half of my life and now I need a car to get to work. By some miracle my significant other and I were able to get together enough funds and qualify for a home to rent in Montgomery. We had to pay $4650.00 to get in the door. Now our second months rent we are short on due to all the moving costs. I also need a car to get to work from the new place we are living as I lack transportation.
We want to establish ourselves in this house until we can buy our own. We moved in with no furnishings and little food. We found a food shelf but we still need help with next months rent. By my math we will be about $400.00 short on May's rent which is $1500.00. Do you have any programs that can help us with May's rent? We are also in need of furniture and household goods. Are there any vouchers available for furniture or transport? Finally we need help getting a second car as we live a little further away from our jobs now and need to be able to maintain transportation to work in order to pay the bills. Do you have any programs that would help us get a second vehicle?

To whom this may concern
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you with a heartfelt request for assistance, as I am on the cusp of a new opportunity that could significantly improve my life, but I find myself facing a significant obstacle: reliable transportation to get to work.
I have recently secured a promising job opportunity that I am very excited about, and it is a pivotal step forward for me and my family. However, the job is not easily accessible via public transportation, and I currently do not own a car. Without a reliable means of getting to work, I am concerned that I may not be able to fully seize this opportunity. I need the work transportation program.
I am reaching out to you with the hope that you might be able to offer guidance, support, or assistance in helping me acquire a vehicle. I understand that this is a significant request, and I genuinely appreciate your consideration.
If you have any information about resources, programs, or organizations that could provide financial assistance, low-interest loans, or other forms of support for individuals in my situation, I would be immensely grateful for your guidance. Additionally, if you or someone you know may have a vehicle that is no longer in use or might be willing to assist in any way, I would be deeply appreciative.
I want to emphasize that my goal is to become self-reliant and contribute positively to my community through this new job opportunity. With your help and support, I believe I can overcome this transportation barrier and start this new chapter of my life on a strong footing.
If you would be willing to discuss this further or have any advice to offer, please feel free to contact me at [Your Phone Number] or [Your Email Address]. I am open to any suggestions and am eager to work towards a solution.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. Your kindness and support mean the world to me, and I am genuinely grateful for any assistance you can provide.

Hi Terri,
We are sorry for your loss. Any type of car, even work transportation, is of course rare. As cars, bus passes, Ubers, etc. are costly. But we do have some options listed, and look here for a car for work.

I need help with getting a vehicle for work transportation. My 21 year old son was shot in head and killed last year 9/07/2022. We were homeless. We now have a place but the landlord is giving us problems cause they are charging us for the plumbing problem that was already here when we moved in he keeps sending letters trying to evict us if we don’t pay it.
A landlord is supposed to take care of all problems when he rents a place but our landlord is just trying to get money for whatever. I lost my car to a title loan and now I have to have surgery to remove 7 fibroid cysts from my uterus and ovaries. My mom is 84 years old and is still working and she shouldn’t have to. I have so much pain from these cysts I have to wait until my surgery and then I have 6 weeks of recovery.
My fiancée works but he has to walk to work, so the car will be for work transportation. It’s very hard getting kids to school. I can’t wait until summer but I’m sure my kids don’t wanna be stuck at home because we have no car. I also need help getting my license back and that cost 325 to get license and 200 to the state of Alabama and I’m not sure what it’s for but I’ve been given all the paperwork. We’ve been in Alabama almost 15 years and I now hate it here cause some girl shot my son in the head and killed him. We all have been praying. Me and my daughter sat with my son her brother in the hospital for a week before they took him off life support. Huntsville hospital kept telling me if I didn’t give up his organs they’d pull the plug on him. Eventually we called and lawyer and they left us alone but started treating us horrible. One surgeon said I don’t know why the mother is crying cause her son can’t see anything.
We all miss him he’s now in a urn in my room he would’ve been 18 this year in august. Please respond back and please don’t blow us off like most of websites do and where to get work transportation. And if you can’t help at least call us and let me know what you can or can not do. My name is Terri. Thank you and God Bless You

My name is Natalie. I reside here in NYC. I’m writing on behalf of my cousin and his girlfriend. They have a family of three and need some type of work transportation. They reside in the zip code area of 30032. His name is Timothy. They have recently moved there about seven months and is very happy! Timothy girlfriend recently lost the only transportation they had to get back in forth to work.
I am requesting information on any church, charity, or programs, that you may assist them with? That may offer them a vehicle for transportation. He just got a construction job. But He doesn’t have any other options to get to work and need transportation.
Please email or call me. If you’ll like to talk with them directly I’ll send them any information that you can obtain. Thank you! In advance.
Sincerely,

Maybe the Ways to Work auto loan program can help you and/or your daughter. A loan can maybe fix the transmission. Or help with a down payment for a new car. Locate bad credit car loans.

I know a young married couple with a 6 month old son, who are in need of reliable transportation for work. The transmission on their current vehicle has gone out, and they don't have the money to repair it. So they are reaching out to anyone for help in purchasing a used car.

They currently live in Pelzer, South Carolina. I am not familiar with South Carolina work transportation programs. I have tried looking up local car assistance programs near Pelzer, and have had no luck. There are several sites for donating cars online, but I have not found anything for helping them get a car.
If you have any information that I could pass onto them, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ways to Work can help you pay for transportation or a car that is work related. They offer low cost auto loans and/or give out a new used car. They do operate in PA. Find details on Ways to Work cars for a job.

Asking for information on getting help  with getting a car for job interviews and employment needs. I can't get nothing so would have transportation to and from doctors’ appointments plus a lot of job opportunities have passed by with not having a vehicle and in danger of being homeless  and losing everything. I Applied for SSI due to many medical problems but if I were to keep missing appointments might risk my case plus I need the medical attention. I am only on food stamps and medical with no income. I live in Shamokin PA. Seems like nobody knows how to get help or have the resources to lead me in the right direction. If you could please help and lead me to the best resources around my area in order to get a car for a job, with my situation I would greatly appreciate it. Look at hearing from you.
                           Thank you

I am a first time pregnant mother due September 30th and I am scared to death about having to accept being homeless in a few weeks due to the father of my baby's mother moving away. I am unemployed and struggle to find a job due to not having transportation as well as currently being too far from town to walk in the heat.
I feel so hopeless with not having any help or support system of my own to look to. Please if you can tell me anything that will help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We need help paying the rent and money for a used car or some form of transportation. I went to school from 2/2012 to 11/2012 for medical assistant. On 3/2016 my unemployment stopped and jobs are still hard to find. I’ve sold my motorcycle and a small camper to help pay the bills but now I have nothing left to sell and still cannot find work. I’m looking for help with some type of other car/motorcycle so I can get a job and then I need money our rent for the next month or two and if possible some help with some medical bills. Thank You.

I'm 20 years of age. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and there is my boyfriend and I and soon baby. We just would like some help getting started, specifically a new vehicle because I have been staying in PA with my father who had just lost his job and I don't have any place to go and would like to reside in NJ. My boyfriend is also having problems with living since he has no place to stay either so it’s a very difficult situation with this lack of transportation.
He is 21. We have been trying so hard to find work for the both of us but living away from each other makes it harder since I don't have any transportation anywhere and it’s too far or a walk to get into the town closest to me. We would just like a little assistance from this charity to get on our feet.

I'm on disability and a single parent. I got my electric bill shut off and it is $2,000 to get it turned back on. We are living in our car to say warm. I tried Red Cross and other charities to try to get me to help me get it turned back on and they cannot help me. The help I can get from anybody I will be very grateful for me and my daughter. Then I can only use my car for transportation to work. She is 9 years old I don't know where to turn to get more help please help me and my daughter out get this possible. Thank you and God bless you.

There are numerous work training programs in Illinois. Some of them are for ex prisoners as well. But it will be more difficult. So if you have a job search going you would be more likely to get help with those bills and rent. Anyhow, find more details on the employment reosurces in Illinois.

Transportation and cars are rare. You can try places like the Salvation Army or a program known as Ways to Work. One will help you buy a car, and the other Salvation Army may have volunteer drivers. But as we noted, this type of resource is very rare and you need to qualify and have a good reason. Get more details on cars and transportation.

Looking for a grant to help me pay rent for a few months and also a car or transportation. Right now I've had interviews waiting on call backs and calls. I'm in the process of finishing my school program in Miami this January and I'm in need of bus fare to complete the whole 3 months. I also have 4 children. My oldest 2 start next week. I have no idea how I'm going to get them to school. My vehicle was stolen October 16th, 2013. I'm in desperate need of emergency assistance
